"The hotel is very nice, there is a private balcony outside the room. I wish we had a better weather while we were there. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants, actually there is a good restaurant next door. The room was bigger than other hotel rooms. Very good coffee and tea station with everything that you might need in the room. The bathroom and the shower were great. In the lobby they have all the information for the beautiful hikes that you can take in the area. I will recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Check in and check out was very fast."

Natural beauty, but it is not exploited enough.

Natural beauty, but it is not exploited enough. The Holywell near Carraroe on Garland Sunday is such an experience. Great walking esp on Benbulben. Access at Gortarowey is a well kept secret. Great places to eat, includig the bar at Clarion, Davies at Drumcliffe, a bowl of chowder at Hargadons, Lyons cafe ( closed on Mondays), Eala Bhan, I could go on. Its a nightmate to get around Sligo, traffic is a mess. There is a local bus link but information on routes is another well kept secret.

Tubbercurry is a growing place and we are privileged to have seen a lot of changes over the years that we have been coming here. But it's not for everyone it's mostly just for "Normal People". There are several eating places nearby and only a short drive to places like Sligo, Ballina,Westport, etc.

Mullaghmore is a nice area.

Mullaghmore is a nice area. It has two hotels with a fast food outlet attached to the pub in one hotel. There is a shop with general supplies and newspapers. The local pier has boat trips which can be booked at the pier. There was sailing lessons for children and I also saw swimming for young people in the evenings. I did see divers going out one evening so there seems to be plenty of water activities which I presume can be booked locally. There was a nice walk along by the sea, footpath on some of it with regular seating if needed.

Sligo is a great county to visit.

Sligo is a great county to visit. Lots of great places to visit. Great beaches, good food options and good coffee in Sligo town and Strandhill. Visit Carrowkeel, knocknarea, kesh caves, Enniscrone beach. Mullaghmore, Trails around Benbulbin, Glencar valley (devils stove pipe & Glencar waterfalls). Definitely need a bit of research cause there's hidden gems to be discovered.
