"We lived in Clonmel for more than 16 years and love it. The people are friendly and there are a lot of clubs, a good movie theater, lots of shops. Lots of flowers planted and the views of the mountains is splendid. It's a lovely town that is busy, but not too busy. Lots of good food. It's a wonderful little Irish town."

Iconic! Ruins to wander with sheep and cows.

Iconic! Ruins to wander with sheep and cows. Walking paths of all kinds. Found great Indian restaurant. Easy navigations, parking at main site with easy access bathrooms and coffee shop. Short stay focused on Rock and Hore Abbey, could have lingered in area longer. Wanted to go to cultural center but couldn’t.

I met up with a lot of friends and relatives so didn't have much for sightseeing apart from going on a lovely walk by the Suir as far as Carey's Castle. I found a lovely restaurant the Queen Bee in Irishtown where they serve lovely food and staff are very helpful and friendly. Mulcahy's in Gladstone Street serve lovely lunchtime food I bought a lovely jacket at TX Maxx at a reasonable price Clonmel is very easy to get around and there are local buses

Hotel was excellent - in fact this is our all time favourite Hotel. Racing at local track was very enjoyable (as always) with very hospitable people who are the epitome of friendliness and good punting helped for a great evening! Love The Glen of Aherlow for its tranquility and beauty with The Statue of Christ the King a particular favourite.

We originally chose Thurles for its proximity to Cashel and availability of lodging within our budget range. Part of Saturday was spent touring the Rock of Cashel & Hore Abbey, a 30-minute bus ride from Thurles, If we would have known there was a Hurling event scheduled on Sunday, we would have stayed an extra night! We had a delicious selection of Thai food at YI THAI on Parnell St. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were very reasonable for the high quality of the food. Our second day we had a late lunch at Ryan's Daughter restaurant which closes at 5:30. The food was very good, however, my homemade dessert, apple pie with ice cream, was divine.

The house was very nice and the accommodations easy.

The house was very nice and the accommodations easy. I was a solo traveler adding an extra couple of days to a business trip just looking for something a little less 'tourist-y' and Templemore was a great choice for a day. Tony as a host was both very accommodating and unobtrusive. He didn't want to be a bother while I was staying there but I could still draw him out into giving good local advice and local history and character. The house was in a great location, just the right distance for a medium walk to the town center and park. He even offered to give me a ride to the train station, which was a bit far for a walk with my bags.

Fab hotel for a complete getaway break. Great spacious bedrooms - we booked the deluxe room, great leisure centre, plenty of parking, food was fab we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at this hotel. Despite being very busy at lunch and dinner you did not feel that you where rushed eating your meal. Relaxed atmosphere. It is off the main motorway/roads which for people seeking a quiet break away is ideal. We would highly recommend it.

After great breakfast at Ashmore House B&B we walked up The Rock of Cashel early at 09.30, before the crowds. Immediately joined a tour with excellent tour guide. Lovely walk back across the Bishops Path and relaxing morning coffee in the sun at The Palace Hotel.
