Excellent options for meals. The food was fantastic and very tasty. Obviously prepared with love and expertise. The staff were amazing, very professional and attentive. Jas was a fantastic host, taking time to talk to us and recommend things to do. Diana town is close and there are very many good restaurants close by. We had a fantastic stay

The Pinewood Beach Resort and Spa truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully appointed and remarkably spacious rooms. The resort grounds themselves were immaculately and meticulously landscaped, creating a stunning tropical oasis. Both the pool area and the beach were kept sparkling clean. Best of all, the staff was absolutely awesome, with special shout-outs to Tito and Bakari who took fantastic care of us down at the pool bar!

We originally booked this hotel just for a couple of days, planning to look for a seaside house in person. But from the moment we arrived, we were already impressed – everything looked just as beautiful as in the photos. The place is brand new, modern, and fully equipped with all the necessary appliances. The staff is very kind and welcoming. After checking other hotels by the sea, we realized they were quite old and worn out, so we decided to extend our stay here instead. A really wonderful place, highly recommended!

We were there to celebrate my husband 50th bday and the team (thank you Zipora and Evelyn for your hospitality, warmth and kindness) went out of the way to ensure that our time was special. Everything about the Maji hotel and our experience was exceptional. The hotel is aesthetically decorated, lots of fun and comfortable corners to sit in, the beach beds super comfy and the wrap around pool kept clean (thank you Wilson), the beach is gorgeous, the service is on point (thank you Erasmus, Zippy, Caroline), the rooms spotless where the housekeeping staff ran it as a well-oiled machine, and the food delicious. Our morning walks to the Kongo river were followed with an exceptional breakfast spread. We spent the rest of the time happily on the beach beds, reading and swimming. My original plan was to venture out for dinners but the food was so good that we ended up eating all meals at the hotels with the chef going out of the way to accommodate our vegetarian diet and adapting the swahilli dishes for variety. We had a special table setup that was beautifully decorated to celebrate my husband's bday with a cake. The security is always there, making sure monkeys stay at bay, discrete but always there. To all staff at Maji, thank you for giving us the best of memories on this very special holiday.

A wonderful stay in one of the best places in Diani Beach We absolutely loved our stay at Nomad Hotel Diani Beach. The hotel is beautiful, with a stunning view, lovely surroundings, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent — the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The restaurant also deserves a special mention: the food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Breakfast and dinner were both a real pleasure. This is definitely a place we would love to come back to.

We used 4 of the cottages for our group of 10. The cottages were comfortable and in a great central location. The staff prepared breakfast early each day so that we could meet the scuba diving shop schedules which was very accommodating. The grocery store directly across the street had everything and there are 2 very good restaurants as well. Other restaurants are within walking distance or an inexpensive ($1-4) tuk tuk ride away.

My visit to Diani Beach was an unforgettable experience. The white sandy beaches, crystal-clear ocean, and peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect destination to relax and unwind. I enjoyed watching the sunrise, walking along the shore, and taking in the breathtaking views. The locals were friendly and welcoming, and the food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. My accommodation was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the beach, making the stay even more enjoyable. Every moment felt refreshing, from the warm weather to the exciting beach activities. Diani Beach exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway filled with relaxation, adventure, and unforgettable memories. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Diani Beach is awesome. Great beaches, good food. Transport readily available - be prepared to negotiate and try not to get ripped off. I've been there several times. I've stayed at "Diamonds", "Baobab", "The Blue Water", and "Jo Baobab's apartments". I liked Jo's apartments as they were 5 minute from beach with security, parking, spacious, well maintained, fully equipped, and significantly cheaper than the hotels on the beach - by at least 50%. On the beach I hung out at the Blue Marlin for the beach/bar/restaurant on the beach vibe.

Msambweni is truly a hidden paradise. I loved its peaceful atmosphere, long quiet beach walks, untouched nature, and the feeling of being far away from crowds and noise. Perfect.

Perfect. I wrote a previous outstanding review but Booking.com only posted my two comments from “suggested improvements”, which were inconsequential but gave a negative impression. The property was lovely, steps from an amazing white sandy beach fringed with coconut palms. I loved lolling on the comfy cushions on the roof terrace in the evenings. Cecilia who looked after us was amazing and a great cook. Her fish curries were to die for. The bed was comfy and the mosquito nets a great asset. The community pool was well maintained with a fabulous on site masseuse, Habiba. Amazing relaxing vacation would highly recommend.

The beach is beautiful with white sand and the view is amazing and goes on for miles. The tide was out most mornings and late afternoon, You could see the tide slowly coming back in. It was lovely just to walk along the sandy beach. We done a three days Safari, which was amazing. We booked it at hotel and it just made the holiday that little bit more extra special. I would recommend to do a safari. There are many different activities you can do on Diani Beach, for example we see camel riding, boat trips, scuba diving.

Easy to get around with Tut Tut's as they park outside...

Easy to get around with Tut Tut's as they park outside hotels/shops etc. Wherever you stay always get an idea of price of tut tut drivers to/from as some of them will rip you off. Hidden Gem is Africa Pool - check it out. For the adventurous there is a climb down not for the faint hearted and certainly no health and safety. We did live dangerously. You can choose the more flat route but not wheelchair accessible. No facilities but you do not even need as the place is mesmerising. 2-3 hours. If your coming from Diani Airport there is a wonderful local restaurant called Baali Diani Airport, (same owner). Definitely worth a visit, call ahead for specific, alcohol drinks, or the huge fish platter.

Resort look good but poor non qualified staff.poor reception set up.managerhad bad attitude towards visitors he ignored every question u ask him pretending to be busy doing nothing.we stayed for 2 hours without light because generator had no fuel.poorswimmingset especially for young ones no swimming pool for them and no swimming pool guard .

Beautiful white sandy beaches and lovely place for snorkeling and other water activities. Everything you need closeby in the town of Diani or Ukunda. great restaurants all around with good food quality and taste. Friendly and helpfull people.

Mostly private resorts however not far from Diani and accessible from Mombasa. The Likoni Ferry (which is the only way from Mombasa Island to the south) can take some time to cross- we took almost three hours when we first arrived.
