I was very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable I was at the hotel. The bed was perfect, everything was spotlessly clean, everything worked well (including the hot water, often elusive in Morocco). It was a restful place to end long days of exploration.

The staff are friendly and kind. The building feels like you’re staying in a castle. There is a heated towel rack, hand made soap, beautiful art work, stained glass windows-every attention to detail. The breakfast was fantastic! They were knowledgeable about and accommodated my gluten allergy. They even had several gluten free items such as bread and granola. This is the only place I saw gf bread in the 2 weeks in Morocco. Thank you! Beautiful, big roof top!

The patio has an amazing view and the space is lovely. We drank the water as suggested and had no issues which was a nice feature. I hate buying so much water. It was easy access to Volubilis and the town square. They can arrange all sorts of things for you from the Riad if you just ask. We arranged a driver to Fes but they offer donkey rides and other things. They even had an electric mattress cover to heat the bed!

This was our best room and breakfast on our trip. The balcony was excellent…spacious and great views. The owner was terrific and breakfast was varied. Lots of little nice touches and beautiful antique pieces to admire. There is only one negative that I am sure the owner is going to address. See below. If the issue is addressed, I would stay here every time in Meknes.

We had a nice decorated room with comfortable bed and bathroom. Sitting in the sun on the roof terrace drinking tea was very nice. Overlooking the city and the Palace gardens. It’s in walking distance to the centre. We had a nice dinner and breakfast. The people are very friendly and helpful. The building with it nicely woodwork and carpets is colourful.

I feel that Meknes is generally under rated in the tourist destinations. It is really beautiful and there are many places to visit for example The premier art and cultural exhibition in Meknes is worth visiting, Meknes Medina, Bab Mansour Gate, Bou Inaniya Medrasa, Bab al-Khamis Gate etc.

An underrated jewel.

An underrated jewel. People often skip Meknes in favour of Fez but i found it more authentic with far less hustle. The people are simply unfailingly helpful and charming. And there are many sights to see, including Volubilis which is mind-blowing

Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes.

Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes. The business people are less aggressive in trying to sell you something & it was easy to navigate around the city. Plenty of interesting architecture, Médina gates and nice places to eat.
