Location was perfect (central) between bikini beaches and harbor and restaurants. Staff were kind and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast available every morning.

Isla Retreat is a cozy hotel that truly feels like a home away from home. Beautifully designed rooms with comfy beds. It’s the most perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful island vibes. This was our first trip to the Maldives, and I am very happy that we were guests at Handhuvaru Hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed with a very beautiful bouquet made of shells and treated to a fresh coconut. The food was prepared fresh and individually for each guest. I truly enjoyed everything that the hotel’s chef prepared. The beach is large and clean, only 3 minutes away from the hotel. The rooms are very clean and modern. There is everything needed for guests’ comfort. The hotel offers different excursions, and we are very happy that we joined one and visited a nearby island. There we saw a sea turtle and dolphins. The hotel staff organized a BBQ party for us in honor of the New Year (for free), and it was amazing. We had a great evening, and they also treated us with a cake. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel for all 12 days. Everything was organized at the highest level. At the end of our stay, the manager gave us a beautiful collectible wooden boat as a gift. I would like to thank the management and the staff for making this holiday the best and truly unforgettable.

A very cozy guest house with kind and helpful personnel. Nice breakfasts. Tidy rooms with daily cleaning. Pick-up and drop-off to the beach, which was extremely convenient. The staff did its best to fulfill guests’ expectations and make their stay as comfortable as possible.

This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. For its price, it is absolutely worth it, we definitely had a wonderful stay. The private beach was clean, the staff were the kindest and most helpful people we have met, they arranged everything we wanted and even beyond what they offered. The restaurant had some of the most delicious food I have ever had. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day. The pool offered cold water, which was very much appreciated during hot afternoons. And the view from the hotel lobby and from our terrace... I will miss it dearly every day. We will be happy to come back next time we visit the Maldives.

Easily the nicest place we’ve stayed in the Maldives! it’s the perfect location, clean well maintained facilities, and the most comfortable bed. the showers are hot and the AC is amazing but the best part about it is the Michelin level chef that prepares incredibly thoughtful fresh, healthy meals every single breakfast, lunch and dinner. we felt truly spoiled almost like we had a private chef. we’ve never been ones to eat solely at one location but we never wanted to leave because of his incredible cooking. each meal we’d look forward to the next. we’d highly recommend staying here solely for the food vacation lol the island is very very quiet with not a ton to do but with these meals and this location that is all you need for a relaxing vacation. the staff all around is just excellent. we miss it already !!

Our stay was absolutely incredible—more than what we'd hoped for on our honeymoon. Rayya and Jani were super friendly and extremely attentive to all our needs. They picked us up when the boat arrived and sent us off when it departed with a packed breakfast, as we had an early start. The breakfast was wonderful, and so was each dinner at their restaurant down the street. The island is to die for, and I won't say anymore about it because the words wouldn't do justice to the experience. They also helped us arrange the little excursion we requested, which was a trip to our very own private island for an hour on a glorious morning—a memory me and my wife will cherish forever. We definitely hope to return here some day.

And here we are at our second hotel hopping adventure! We chose to stay at this hotel not only because of how beautiful it looks, but also because of the wonderful reviews we read — and yes, they were absolutely true! Count me in as one of the happy guests who truly experienced their excellent service and cleanliness. From the moment we checked in, everything went smoothly. Special thanks to Mr. Riyaz for warmly welcoming us and sharing helpful information about the island and nearby spots. The room smelled fresh and was spotless! What impressed us most was how consistent the housekeeping team was — keeping our room clean every day and attending to our small requests with care. Their breakfast and dinner service was also excellent. I celebrated my birthday here, and they made it truly special — from a beautiful seafood dinner setup by the beach, to a homemade cake, room decorations, and even a surprise beachside dance moment where I felt like I owned the whole island! It’s amazing how attentive they were, even to guests’ birthdates. The hotel staff went above and beyond our expectations. We became friends with David Moorthi, and Sanjeewan, who always made sure we were safe and comfortable, especially at the beachside, until the moment we checked out. We also booked our excursions with them — the Manta Ray and Whale Shark tours — and on our first day, we met the amazing Mr. Pocky, known as the “Manta Man” and one of the owners of Chak’z 1964. Once you book, the team keeps you updated on when you’ll head out for the search. At first, Mr. Pocky seemed quiet and mysterious, but he truly lived up to his words: “If you dive with me, you are safe.” The moment I jumped into the ocean, he never left my side — even held my hand throught the time — and made sure other divers’ flippers didn’t hit me. My best friend’s guide also made sure she was safe at all times.

The service was amazing, the exceptional kind staff and the high end hotel with the latest technology instilled in their rooms.

Me and my kid travel a lot, but this place ticks all the boxes, which is rare to come across. Fodhdhoo is a pretty and authentic island with no mass tourism. Sabba Team you raised the bar very high. Our stay at your place was perfect! We will cherish the memories forever. Until we meet again!
