This lodge is located on the banks of the Kavango River, along the route toward Botswana just before entering the Caprivi Strip. That’s why we stayed here twice: once on the way to Botswana and again on our return journey. The lodge offers various levels of comfort, including private cottages and well-equipped tents. We tried both options, and each was comfortable and enjoyable. In every case, there’s a special feeling of being close to nature. In the evenings, after dinner, the staff lights a campfire where guests can relax in the unique atmosphere. The lodge also offers boat tours on the Kavango River, perfect for watching the sunset and encountering hippos. This was truly one of the most unforgettable evenings of our entire trip. The food deserves special mention. The restaurant terrace is beautifully designed, and the dinner we had there was probably the best of our entire journey.

White Sands Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a private beach area and terrace in Divundu. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a grill.

Namushasha River Campground offers camping facilities near the Bwabwata National Park. Campers have access to the main lodge’s restaurant, bar, swimming pool and activities.

Fantastic large campsite above the river with nice clean private facilities. Friendly night watchman who checked in on us. Main reception & dining area is very nice with great view over the park. Friendly staff.

Very comfortable rooms with wonderful view at the river. Highly motivated, friendly and competent staff. Excellent food from the lodge restaurant. River cruise and game drive into the Buffalo Core Area are highly recommended. Excellent motivated guides.

Beautiful property beside the river, beautifully constructed cottages with serene outlook with everything you need inside, very comfortable and hot showers. Groovy swaying bridge to the bar on the island with perfect views on the deck above the river. A little wifi for checking mail. Watch the hippos play instead! Amazing place , friendly staff. Road in is suitable for 2wd, we had no trouble in our corolla.

These tents feature all feature verandas with views of the Okavango River. Each tent includes wooden flooring and a wardrobe. They also have a mosquito net and a bathroom.

The lodge is really beautiful, with great views over the Okavango river. The food is really good, and the camping experience with the sounds of the hippos nearby in the river is really great. The big private bathrooms next to every campsite are super convenient. The game drive was great to see lions and the boat tour on the river was really beautiful. If I ever come back in the region, I will definitely stay here again.
