This lodge is amazing and offers stunning views over the Fish River Canyon from each single room. It's quiet and if you like nature and stillness, this is the place for you! You can do rim walks on both sides that range from 45-75 minutes that I would recommend doing during sunrise and sunset time. The food is amazing as well, and there is a good vegetarian alternative, as well as a good wine card.
When I found out that the wifi was much better in other rooms and told the staff that I need to work and have video calls, they gave me a new room after the first night. Amazing!
The best part was that the staff really went the extra mile. On my first morning there, the staff had noticed that one of my tired was losing air. They then found out that a screw was inside of it which makes the air slowly go out. They then changed the wheel of my car, and they even took the broken wheel to seal the whole in the tire that I'd have a backup in case I got another flat on the way back. When I ask what all of this cost me, they said "we're here to help. If you want to give anything, it's up to you but not required". I was completely stunned and very grateful. And then I had the problem that I didn't have the right tool to loosen the screws on my wheel, so the manager lent one to me in case something else happens and then had a courier pick it up in Windhoek at a cafe I was working. I've never experienced this kind of service and am really grateful to the people at Fish River Lodge. I'll definitely come back!

We loved everything about this property. The room was very comfortable, lovely bedding, kitchen was well equipped and the with the Braai room next door making a meal was very convenient and easy. Caroline was an amazing host, making restaurant reservations for us and arranging to have our laundry done at a very reasonable price. The rocking chars on the Verandah to enjoy the beautiful view were the icing on the cake!

We had a truly memorable stay at the White House Guest Farm. Our studio was nicely decorated and comfortable. All our dinners were absolutely delicious and delivered to our studio. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

The Obelix was clean, comfortable and was in a good location only a short walk from the town centre. The staff were very helpful and generally there was a genuine friendly atmosphere. The breakfasts were freshly prepared. The rooms were a little on the small side, but for the price I think this Hotel represents excellent value for money.

Amazing bed (firm but cozy) and clean smelling sheets. Fan and air con work well. My room had a view of Orange River. Pool was amazing, views are amazing. It was expensive (for me- I upgraded from my camping trip) but we’ll worth it! Shower and hot water work well.

The food was generally great - all buffet style meals. The chalets and the grounds are magnificent - it is incredible how the chalets have been built into the rocks. The chalets are super comfortable.

Quite run down, not a great feel to it with many children...
Quite run down, not a great feel to it with many children and teenagers quite aggressively begging. Didn't feel ag all comfortable and dont know why authorities dont clamp down on this as its going to impact the tourist trade. Kolmanskruppe very interesting though

Aus is clean and safe. The people are very helpful and friendly. From there one could go to see the desert horses, Kolmanskop and Lüderitz etc. Lüderitz is no longer a sleepy fishing village and has become quite industrial - too busy for me. The camping spots I believe has remained as good as always

It is a small beautiful coastal town in southern Namibia.
It is a small beautiful coastal town in southern Namibia. One of the best highlights were the scenic drive from Nakop the border post to Lüderitz. Other highlights were the crayfish festival, Kolmanskop Ghost town, the two and a halve hour ferry along the coastal line, the Luderitz Museum, Diaspoint and Gross Bucht with it picturise view.

The host welcomed us very friendly. The bedding was very neat and tidy. However the TV did not work. The bathroom is very outdated. There is no towel rails or any table to accommodate your toiletries.
Shower warm water tap did not work properly. No shower door, only a plastic skirting. The shower definitely needs an upgrade as accordingly to the visits register since 2021 this is noted by every visitor. It seems to me that nothing is done about it.
I received an SMS stated that the host will refund us for the inconvenience, but this far nothing happened.
In conclusion, I slept twice at Urban Life, the first and the last.
The outside of the unit was very untidy with the grass more than 10cm in hight.

A small town with comforable places to stay at. Idilic place to take beautiful photos of the surroundings. Grunau is a good place to rest before you take your trip deeper into Namibia or when you are on your way to South Africa.

This was our 2nd time staying here. Lovely unit, with everything you need for an overnight stay.
The unit was clean, spacious and fully equipped for our stay.

Never make use of the trevel agent Booking.com They do not pay the accomodation providers. We as customer were grossly embarresed and had to pay the accomodation a second time. This leave a bitter taste and a negative outlook to our holiday.
