NorwayWe liked the hotel so much! The staff was very nice and attentive. The room and the hotel as a whole were exceptionally clean. Everything was in order in our room, every last bulb and switch. The breakfast was delicious. And the location was very convenient.
Overall, a very cozy experience. We especially enjoyed the hotel's lobby where you can get a cup of coffee and sip it by the fireplace.
Looking forward to staying there again!

Excellent breakfast, excellent packed lunch, location is good for several ski areas and easy to walk into Lillehammer to eat.
They made us a breakfast "to go" at 4am on our departure day.
The staff are lovely, chatty and helpful. The free coffee at any time is much appreciated!

The view is great. Good to walk around. We got there in the sunset time, it was stunning. The decoration of the hotel has historical pictures and furniture, very stylish. Dinner and breakfast are good. It's a little bit of drive from the main road. If you have a car, no problem.

This is an exceptionally beautiful part even by Norways high standards. Lovely village with good facilities. Conveniant to vist the historic Heavy water plant and the 'Heroes of Telemark' story form the 2nd World War. We travelled on 6 motorbikes and were made very welcome.

Beautiful countryside and the Rondane mountains.
Beautiful countryside and the Rondane mountains.
Also, easy access by car from the main Oslo to Trondheim.main road. First went there in 1974, still love the area.
Need to look around for open restaurants as some close out of season.
Greatnif you are relatively self reliant.

It's a small place with quite a lot of history and it is popular during the day with tourists transiting through in mobile homes etc. There's good value shops to stock up on provisions and a couple of cafes - also a police station if you need them.
I used it for a layover on a long train journey and for that it was ideal.
There is some great countryside around with at least one very nice walk.
Nothing much happens at night. I get the impression its a staging post above in the main and for that its ideal.
The rail station is up hill from the town - be prepared if you're carrying bags etc.

It was one our best cabin experiences.
It was one our best cabin experiences. The hosts were great and very responsive, and flexible. They visited personally to ensure everything is alright. We got all the help right away. The cabin itself was very clean and the facilities provided were more than what is mentioned on the booking e.g., the cabin also had BBQ facilities, hair dryer, hand soaps. The view was awesome. The location was great. There were several play lands and other activities for kids nearby. Kids enjoyed the most. We had a great time!

Just near Rondane national park - good place for hiking and biking. We really enjoyed waterfalls and trip to Rondvassbu with opportunity for bike rent. We were looking for place in mountains that will be suitable also for two year old child and Mysusæter was a good choidce!

As a visitor who likes hiking and sports, I was looking forward to see the sites of the Olympic games and nature. And I was surprised that a deep wild river gorge runs from the hills all the way to the city centre.

Dombas is an excellent stopover coming back from the fjords...
Dombas is an excellent stopover coming back from the fjords to Oslo. I stayed at the campsite located on top of the village which offers nice cottages and views of the surrounding mountains. The area offers plenty of hiking trails and 5-6 hours moose and muskOx safaris not far from Dombas starting at 10am. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the safari since I stayed just for the night and left in the morning.
All amenities are located in one spot at the Dombas Senter which includes petrol & many fast charging stations, cafeterias, a couple of restaurants, supermarkets and a huge souvenir shop all at reasonable prices. We ate at Moskusgrillen located on the opposite side. The restaurant offers some traditional food, meats, juicy burgers and large pizzas. We tried the deer burger, ribs and pizza and were all very good. I will definitely go back.
