"I loved that it wasn't very big, yet there was plenty to do there, and it was beautiful as well. I really enjoyed hiking up around the Aksla. There were plenty of excursions that could be done from there, and the scenery was gorgeous. It was very easy getting around the town, whether on fun or via public transportation, and it was relaxing."

I loved everything about my stay at Overvoll Farm! From the warm welcome, the delicious dinner (consisting of homemade deer stew), the stimulating conversation with fellow guests, the heated bathroom floors & water pressure in the shower, the cloud like mattress & pillows dressed in soft linen, to the unbelievable breakfast spread with freshly prepared baked goods, eggs of all variety, local jams, cheese, granola, porridge, juice & coffee! Meeting Hege Kristin & her family and sharing a meal with them was a definite highlight of my stay.
They also maintain & operate a 9-hole golf course!

Vi er veldig fornøyde med oppholdet! Hytta hadde både varmt vann og kjøkken, noe som var svært praktisk, spesielt når man reiser med baby. Beliggenheten var flott, med vakker utsikt over fjorden, gangavstand til sentrum og bare ca. 10 minutter å gå til matbutikken. Personalet var utrolig hyggelige, gjestfrie og hjelpsomme. Parkering rett ved hytta var også veldig praktisk. Alt var helt topp – 10 av 10!.

This is a beautiful hotel and the breakfast is outstanding. The staff are great and sitting by the fire in the main lobby is a real treat. You will not be disappointed with this hotel. It has a sauna and fjord plunge area. The hotel feels so comfortable and warm.
Marianne greats you with a smile at breakfast every morning and all the staff are so kind.

One of our good experience here in norway, the room is not only good its fantastic , the most comfortable bed i slept on, the room is very big and clean, the view to the fjord is breathtaking, the team was very nice and welcoming especially katarina.

The hotel is very central and nicely connected with a wonderful walking path going towards the mountain. It's functional, comfortable. There are also chargers for electric vehicle at the back of the hotel.

Cool spot, that seems to have everything a more known place...
Cool spot, that seems to have everything a more known place like Bergen has with more elbow room. Fast, small airport, tons of restaurants, and stores. Great roads. And after you do your shopping, or dinning, driving five minutes in any direction will have you in the middle of some of the most beautiful mountains, and Fjord lakes on Earth. Or just kick it on the Atlantic shore, and enjoy some ocean activities.

When you are visiting Geiranger, you need to reach Stranda...
When you are visiting Geiranger, you need to reach Stranda through a ferry and the times for the ferry are not good. They have a ferry once a hour in the evenings and you will end up wait for an hour sometimes when you miss the previous one

Very small and cozy place. The view is spectacular! You can feel peace around. Supermarket is quite far but if you have a car is no problem.Also if you need some shopping you can go to Moa which is 15 min by car. There's a ferry and a bus stop. Trails to the woods is quite nice, you can spend a very nice day there.

For us Stranda was a point of sleeping over, while doing tours in the area. There was 2 options of restaurants, so it was possible to get a dinner. Did not see much of Stranda in daytime - but they perhaps could have done some more of being the city of the Grandiosa Pizza and the well konwn Stranda Ham.

Ålesund is simply beautiful.
Ålesund is simply beautiful. Its unique Art Nouveau architecture, the surrounding islands, and the breathtaking view from the Aksla viewpoint make it one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. There is no better word for it than stunning.
