The owner was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and everything was well organized. The location is excellent, close to Białowieża Forest, making it ideal for nature trips.

GermanyThe apartment is brand new and was sparkling clean. Quite spacious for two people, with a functional kitchen, nice bathroom, sitting area with a sofa and a very comfortable big bed. The kitche stove is induction, so beware if you plan on bringing your stovetop espresso machine. The location is perfect if you plan on hiking in the forest. There's ample parking in front.

Great location , very good breakfast , restaurant with dinner. Very basic accommodation. The room was over the kitchen and a re the restaurant and was little noisy. It got quiet after 10pm. The walls rather thin, you can hear snoring and talking neighbors. A walking distance 1000 feet to a good grocery store , very ample parking.

The cabins are cozy and charming. They were thoughtful and gave us a cabin away from other families so our dog wouldn't be bothered by strange noises. The shower has very hot water, perfect after a rainy hike in the woods. The prices in the pub are much better than in the center.

Everything was fine. Everything was clean and the very fine hotel is situated in fine surroundings. Very nice with house martins and house sparrows breeding on the building. Very fine parking lot for guests. The owner speaks English and was very helpful in many ways.

Fantastic breakfast buffet with many options, all fresh! Nice shower in the room, friendly staff, very clean. Nice and quiet as well. Easy to book online and check in. Cute wooden house that has been restored.

The locals are very friendly.
The locals are very friendly. There are plenty of things to do, but mainly enjoy the forest and the nature. I was only there for a weekend so had to speedrun everything. I highly recommend renting a bike for the day to see everything in the area if you are short on time. Though the area is best enjoyed slow. Enjoy the stillness, the sound of the trees and the beautiful houses and grass plains.

Hajnówka is a peaceful town right next to the Białowieża Forest, one of Europe’s last primeval woodlands. It’s a great spot for nature lovers, with easy access to forest trails and chances to spot bison. The town also has a unique mix of cultures, best seen in its striking Orthodox church and local Belarusian influences. Perfect for a quiet getaway close to nature and for testing Podlasie cuisine. Local specialties include babka ziemniaczana, placki ziemniaczane or pierogi and for desser, marcinek is a must!

The two closest restaurants to the accommodation closed at...
The two closest restaurants to the accommodation closed at 8.40pm, I think. This village closes early, Do not leave it late to go out for an evening meal. Guided tours of the "restricted access " part of the national park seem to get fully booked in advance. That includes the Bialowieza Express. The visitor center is closed on Mondays. Cycle route/track, on the Western boundary of the restricted area of the national park and shown on the map of the area peter out and are really non existent. Certainly if one tries to travel along them using a push bike. And it was not just that particular path. I had great difficulty trying to make tracks and pathways shown on the map tie in with reality on the ground. Of course that may be just incompetence on my part. Although I purchased a map of the area from the Park Visitor Center, I found trying to find useful maps/guides relating to the locality difficult, if not impossible, again, this could be due to my incompetence. Travellling from Warsaw, we tired a couple of permutations/bus/train and so on. The simplest was just get a train from Warsaw to Hajnowka. From Hajnowka one may be able to get a bus, last one 3 or 4 pm. In the absence of a bus, the taxi was 135 and 120 zloty. A grocery shop and our hosts both called the same taxi driver for us. I think it was called non-stop taxi. Once at Bialowieza, the labrynth/ a maze is well worth a visit. Our last evening at Bialowieza, we went to a restaurant and was waited on by a robot!!

If you enjoy wilderness and forests, this is the place for...
If you enjoy wilderness and forests, this is the place for you. I advise getting a guide (compulsory in some areas) to learn about the forest ecosystem and its most famous residents, the bison.
Getting around town is very easy - it's not big! We went in November, so definitely not the high tourist season, and the weather cooperated. The town was almost empty, the forest smelled of autumn and was changing colors.
If you're after night-life and clubs, this is not the place for you. If you crave Nature, this is definitely a good choice.
