United StatesBreakfast in this hotel was amazing. The variety of cheese/ ham/ sausages, fruit, vegetables, bread, deserts , tee, coffee and other drinks was unbelievable. I have been traveling all over the world, however breakfast in this hotel has been exceptional.

GermanyThe apartment is brand new and was sparkling clean. Quite spacious for two people, with a functional kitchen, nice bathroom, sitting area with a sofa and a very comfortable big bed. The kitche stove is induction, so beware if you plan on bringing your stovetop espresso machine. The location is perfect if you plan on hiking in the forest. There's ample parking in front.

The locals are very friendly.
The locals are very friendly. There are plenty of things to do, but mainly enjoy the forest and the nature. I was only there for a weekend so had to speedrun everything. I highly recommend renting a bike for the day to see everything in the area if you are short on time. Though the area is best enjoyed slow. Enjoy the stillness, the sound of the trees and the beautiful houses and grass plains.

The two closest restaurants to the accommodation closed at 8.40pm, I think. This village closes early, Do not leave it late to go out for an evening meal. Guided tours of the "restricted access " part of the national park seem to get fully booked in advance. That includes the Bialowieza Express. The visitor center is closed on Mondays. Cycle route/track, on the Western boundary of the restricted area of the national park and shown on the map of the area peter out and are really non existent. Certainly if one tries to travel along them using a push bike. And it was not just that particular path. I had great difficulty trying to make tracks and pathways shown on the map tie in with reality on the ground. Of course that may be just incompetence on my part. Although I purchased a map of the area from the Park Visitor Center, I found trying to find useful maps/guides relating to the locality difficult, if not impossible, again, this could be due to my incompetence. Travellling from Warsaw, we tired a couple of permutations/bus/train and so on. The simplest was just get a train from Warsaw to Hajnowka. From Hajnowka one may be able to get a bus, last one 3 or 4 pm. In the absence of a bus, the taxi was 135 and 120 zloty. A grocery shop and our hosts both called the same taxi driver for us. I think it was called non-stop taxi. Once at Bialowieza, the labrynth/ a maze is well worth a visit. Our last evening at Bialowieza, we went to a restaurant and was waited on by a robot!!

If you enjoy wilderness and forests, this is the place for...
If you enjoy wilderness and forests, this is the place for you. I advise getting a guide (compulsory in some areas) to learn about the forest ecosystem and its most famous residents, the bison.
Getting around town is very easy - it's not big! We went in November, so definitely not the high tourist season, and the weather cooperated. The town was almost empty, the forest smelled of autumn and was changing colors.
If you're after night-life and clubs, this is not the place for you. If you crave Nature, this is definitely a good choice.

Wonderful natural area, fascinating walks all around.
Wonderful natural area, fascinating walks all around. We met wild bisons on one walk! The town itself has most of the things a traveller requires and is a delight with its varied Polish styles of building and much charm and plenty to look at. We came by train to Hajnowka and then bus to Bialo; you have to time this carefully as the buses are infrequent. Bikes can be hired in town which was great for us.

Great place for wildlife watching, or even if you just want to get away from the city and relax in a quiet little village. Car's needed because this is a rather remote area, and if you want to visit nearby trails and towns you're not going to do it with public transport. Any trail you can find here is worth visiting, and even just strolling around the Palace Park and the main road you can have a good birdwatching experience. Most of the restaurants on the main road are good, but Biesiada is really great, with delicious homemade local food (babka ziemniaczana recommended).

The Palace Park is a very cozy place and the guided tours to the Strict Reserve are a must, as this part of the forest is uniquely untouched by human activity. I also highly recommend to take a 'bison safari' at dawn, as seeing these magnificent creatures living in the wild is a great experience! The "Places of National Remembrance" Trail around Białowieża is also a worthwhile trip. However, if you plan to use public transport - connections to Hajnówka from elsewhere in Poland are in good quality, but from Hajnówka to the eastern villages are rare and not very useful to plan hiking trips, so you should plan for a substitute option in advance.

Staff were very friendly even though we have very broken Polish, and they don't all speak English. Room was huge, very clean and very comfortable. Loved our balcony. Grounds of the hotel are immaculate and overall it really felt like we were staying in someone's home. Very well cared for property.

Lovely stay! Clean, nice, photogenic, comfortable. This place met out expectations. Centrally located (7 min walk from Palace Park). Surely coming back here. Oh, ample of parking and the host always met us with smile. Kitchen fully stocked. So highly recommend it to everyone visiting Bialowieza.

Very friendly host, great location to visit Bialowieza and its surroundings and forests. Parking space in front of the house. There is a little fridge and a few plates and cutlers in the drawers, also a small kettle. All for our needs.
