From start to finish Martina made our stay a wonderful experience. From her recommendations to wineries and restaurants to the accommodations and breakfast in the morning, everything was perfect. We were there during the heat wave and she went out of her way to go out and purchase a big fan so we would be comfortable in the room. Just outstanding service! If you are traveling to Austria, do yourself a favor and make this hotel one of your stops. You will not be disappointed!

Evetything was clean, the room was beautiful and spacious. The breakfast was heavenly, with home made juice, pickles, salad from own garden, and locally sourced free range eggs. The home made cakes were also delicious! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, always smiling. On the property there is a mini golf course and a big playground. There is also enough parking spaces. This was a already our third stay here and we will definitely come back next year!

Beautiful small inn with a fabulous coffee and dessert shop on the bottom level. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely views of Pohorje mountain, and great updates to the rooms (we have stayed there previously several years ago). A short taxi or bus ride from the city center, but well worth it. Only wish we could have stayed long enough to sample all the gorgeous desserts!

We really loved the hotel - it's in a quiet area and also gives you quick access to the city center by bus or car or even a good 45 min walk near the river. The parking lot is big and spacious, so you can park easily with a bigger car. The staff is friendly and helpful. Now for the room - it was very comfortable and spacious. We will definitely visit again!

Maribor completely charmed us with its warm, relaxed atmosphere. It's a beautiful city that feels authentic and welcoming, with plenty to discover around every corner. We especially loved the vibrant street art, which gives the city so much character and creativity. It perfectly complements the historic architecture and makes exploring the streets even more enjoyable. This visit definitely wasn't enough. We'd love to come back to discover more of the city itself and spend more time exploring the beautiful nature surrounding Maribor. It feels like a destination that deserves much more than just one trip.

Hočko Pohorje is right between the city of Maribor and the...

Hočko Pohorje is right between the city of Maribor and the summit of Areh. You can be on the ski slopes within minutes of leaving the appartment, you can take the gondola down to the city (10 minutes) or take the bus to Areh. Keep in mind that if you want to go by car to the city it will take you 30-40 minutes since the road up the mountain is quite winding. There are numerous activities both in winter and summer: skiing or sleding on perfectly prepared slopes, or mountain-biking, hiking, adventuring in the summer. There is also a disc-golf park, I didn't even know of the sport before I came.

Really I didn't see much of the town as our purpose of travelling was to ki in Rogla, aproximatelly 25-30 kms away from our accomodation. The hotel we stayed is not in the town but in a nearby village by the road and close to highway. By car it take only a few minutes to go to Slovenska Bistrica where you can find a shopping certre with quite a lot of stores. Slovenska Bistrica is fairly close to Maribor City, the second largest city in Slovenia. And it also close to either Maribor-Pohorje (and Areh) and Rogla ski-slopes.

Qaint and old little town that has a michelin star...

Qaint and old little town that has a michelin star restaurant called Hiša Denk, and a quaint pizzeria called Marcos. Also a local, well stocked grocery store and the most amazing bakery that is open early and stays open late at night! The town is within the local wineries and minutes from Maribor. A perfect central location.

Pernica is a quiet spot, nice for long walks in the countryside. Many sightseeing options 10-40 minutes away. Maribor is very close and the city is amazing for family - great playground in the park, for walks in the wineyards or along the river. And the city centre is georgeous. Anything that I ever tasted here is a delight (and I come regularly because I love this area).

Pretty decent apartmans really close to bike park trails starting points, like couple hundred meters, so perfect for MTBers visiting bike park. Also, all facillity worked properly and we had 2 huge beds. Comfort was on the proper level. We even had terracw on which we could go smoke or just chill after long day of biking. If ever going to Pohorje, , booking same place agaim.

Lovely city with very walkable , lots of cafes and restaurants and has a great vibe to it.Nice walking along the Drava river. Great place to stay if you enjoy hiking as the Porhoje mountains are accessible via bike , car or a short bus ride.Ptuj is nearby .Its a beautiful old small city ,again a bus or train ride away.

Nice slopes for both kids and more advanced skiers.

Nice slopes for both kids and more advanced skiers. Ski lifts work impeccably as well as gondola. Nice terrace of the bar in hotel Bellevue, understaffed but great location to join with non-skiing friends. Access to ski slopes is terrible if coming without car as hotel Bellevue is undergoing a renovation, so there is an entire construction site just before the slopes and it's muddy and for sure not pretty.
