Very friendly owner who offered to wash and hang out our clothes, bring them in and even folding the clothes for us. Great to have 2 adjoining units that allow us to move from one to the other without having to go through front door. Peaceful environment in the countryside, easybto access if you have your own transport.

The host was incredibly kind. He helped me plan the transport for our entire trip down the east coast. He also introduced us to the must-eats at the Luodong night market. He and his wife prepared a lovely, authentic Taiwanese breakfast for our family and kept us company with lively, enthusiastic conversation. As for the room, it was spacious and cozy at the same time. I loved the big bathtub with the option of a shower and the view out on the rice paddies made us feel like we had really arrived in Yilan.

Every morning we wandered along the paved roads of Sanxing flanked by farms and occasional B&Bs —scenic, peaceful, and almost comically quiet. I joked that we saw only one car every ten minutes. Naturally, we decided to put that theory to the test during our hour-long stroll… and to our surprise, the data backed me up.
There are numerous scenic trails nearby. We were fortunate to witness the annual marathon. Having been to 17 marathons in the US, we were very impressed by the friendly vibes.
