Home2 Suites by Hilton was the perfect location. The onsite parking, although chargeable was a bonus. Its proximity to the downtown area only one block away for lots of great bars and restaurants and the area felt very safe. We arrived quite early after a long drive and my husband was feeling slightly unwell, so Madi on reception gave us some water and as soon as a room was available she checked us in. The rooms are so big and clean and comfortable and although well equipped we didn't use the kitchette facilities but we did take advantage of the complimentary laundry. Great breakfast too with a choice of hot or cold and the breakfast area was well supplied and very clean. Overall the best stay of our trip

This motel has truly impressed me. It’s clear that under new ownership, the commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment has been a top priority. The shift in atmosphere is remarkable—where there was once uncertainty, there’s now reliability, professionalism, and genuine care. Every detail matters here. The staff go above and beyond, ensuring guests feel respected and valued. They bring a level of attentiveness that’s hard to find elsewhere, constantly keeping the property in excellent condition. No issue goes unnoticed, and their responsiveness speaks volumes about their dedication. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and outfitted with everything you need—a television, refrigerator, microwave, and ample space to settle in comfortably. Whether you’re staying short-term or for an extended visit, the accommodations provide an ideal mix of privacy and practicality. Though the property is still undergoing improvements, that’s part of its evolution—building something great takes time, and this place is actively refining itself with every step forward. Above all, this motel stands out for its incredible value. It’s rare to find a location that balances affordability with genuine quality and care, but that’s exactly what’s happening here. Normally, I’d place this as a four-star stay, but the peaceful atmosphere, outstanding hospitality, and respect among guests make it an easy five-star experience. For anyone seeking a comfortable, quiet, and well-managed place to stay, this motel exceeds expectations. Highly recommended!

I really like the Cabana Inn. The people behind the counter are very friendly. My first start, I had a room plenty big enough for just me. My last stay, I had an even bigger room. The air conditioner worked great and kept my stay comfortable. I didn't hear any noise from other guests even though the parking lot was full every morning when I left for work. There's also a great pizza spot two blocks away. The Cabana has personality. It's cozy, man. Relax a few hours after work, walk and get a fresh pizza and come back to your room and watch Seinfeld all evening long with the AC blasting.

Boise is a surprisingly charming and sophisticated town.

Boise is a surprisingly charming and sophisticated town. We enjoyed visiting the state capitol building and botanical gardens. We liked the downtown, shopping, and different neighborhoods with good restaurants, bars, shops. Don't miss the Mixed Greens gift/housewares/fun stuff shop! Cool architecture all over. Nice people all over. Great food and outstanding service at Wylder for lunch (pizza, salads, great budino dessert); good trout at Fork (don't bother with the much-touted fried asparagus--greasy!), and even better grilled trout at Anthony's. Nice brew pubs and food courts all over. We wanted to visit the art museum, but it was closed on the only day that would have worked for us.

There is so much construction going on in the center of Eagle and roads were closed off. We managed by following detours and we have general knowledge of the roads in Eagle. Traffic is always an issue in Eagle. The infrastructure is way behind for he amount of people who live and travel through town. We ate at our favorite spots - Bardenay and Coyne's. Both have consistent menus and food is always as expected. It's sad to see the town change so much, tho. It was a sleepy small town feeling when we lived here but since coming back for visits, it's obvious that Eagle is trying to compete with Meridian by changing the landscape with newer businesses/structures and tearing down the charming buildings I remember being what gave this town personality. Not sure how many more people they can cram into the 83616.

Theres is a great and varied selection of places to eat in Meridian. We had breakfast at First Watch (a favorite for us in Tucson) and enjoyed excellent service, food and atmosphere at Kona Grill. The latter is in among a variety of restaurants and retailers centered around a very beautiful and entertaining fountain display. All of the choices to eat at comes at a cost of dealing with explosive growth in the area. Thankfully, the city has dealt with the problem of traffic rather well by timing signals and having a relatively high speed limit.
