We always enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Marion, IL. We have a family member who lives in the area and we visit often. Always a great experience when staying here. So clean, convenient, delicious breakfast available in the mornings, comfortable rooms with all the amenities you want and need. I went to the Harley shop. They just moved to the mall area.

I went to the Harley shop. They just moved to the mall area. It was a huge place. It was connected to a Polaris shop. Then I ran into a gentleman by the name of Tim. He worked for The Thrill House. It is all connected starting with the Harley shop. He showed me a map and all the adventures you could do. There was arcade, bowling alley, go-carts, axe throwing, restaurant, and so much more. It would be a fun place for the whole family! The town of Marion has tons of restaurants to choose from. You can get on the highway and it is a short drive to the Shawnee National forest where we visited lots of family or a short drive to St. Louis. I would like to go back when I can stay longer than a day.

We didn't have time to explore what the city has to offer...

We didn't have time to explore what the city has to offer but the quality of restaurants was very good. The Holiday Inn Express and the staff were A+++. We ate at Sergios Mexican restaurant the food was excellent and plentiful.

The staff especially the young lady when we checked in on 9/13 Beautiful new hotel….the breakfast was fantastic with so many options Clean & new facility…easy to find. Came spur of moment to visit Wineries & Giant City State Park

You can't go wrong with this Hotel, priced right, breakfast...

You can't go wrong with this Hotel, priced right, breakfast was enough and staff was friendly and helpful. Great location if you're pulling a 5th wheel and good parking. I put this on our list for future travel going to Texas. Restaurants within walking distance. Gas stations close. This met all our needs for a worry-free stay.

The bed was exceptionally and dangerously high.

The bed was exceptionally and dangerously high. It was impossible to transfer safely from a wheelchair, forcing us to use a standard room chair as a makeshift step stool. The shower seat was completely detached from the wall, making it entirely unstable. Furthermore, it was stored improperly behind the grab rails, completely obstructing necessary access to them.

Clean! Attentive staff! Pet friendly! Definite value for the money paid compared to other hotels in the area. However, If you are looking for the most updated hotel with top notch decor this not the place for you! This feels like your parent’s family home that still sports the same decor and paint job when you left for college 20 years ago. I personally don’t mind that so I give this a high mark because it was clean with an attentive staff! I would definitely stay there again.

If stay there again.

If stay there again. In fact, my family has stayed there multiple times. We didn't go to the breakfast so no opinion on that, but free is free. The automated booking system was very annoying. For a 1 night stay I received 7 emails and 3 texts by the time we checked out. I should have opted out.
