We always enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Marion, IL. We have a family member who lives in the area and we visit often. Always a great experience when staying here. So clean, convenient, delicious breakfast available in the mornings, comfortable rooms with all the amenities you want and need. We travel a lot in the area for work. This is one of the cleanest hotels. The jacuzzi bathtub is awesome. The staff is nice. The rooms and blankets and towels are neat and clean and the location feels safe. Also if you need to park a truck and trailer it has a good lot for that.

I went to the Harley shop. They just moved to the mall area.

I went to the Harley shop. They just moved to the mall area. It was a huge place. It was connected to a Polaris shop. Then I ran into a gentleman by the name of Tim. He worked for The Thrill House. It is all connected starting with the Harley shop. He showed me a map and all the adventures you could do. There was arcade, bowling alley, go-carts, axe throwing, restaurant, and so much more. It would be a fun place for the whole family! The town of Marion has tons of restaurants to choose from. You can get on the highway and it is a short drive to the Shawnee National forest where we visited lots of family or a short drive to St. Louis. I would like to go back when I can stay longer than a day.

You can't go wrong with this Hotel, priced right, breakfast...

You can't go wrong with this Hotel, priced right, breakfast was enough and staff was friendly and helpful. Great location if you're pulling a 5th wheel and good parking. I put this on our list for future travel going to Texas. Restaurants within walking distance. Gas stations close. This met all our needs for a worry-free stay.

Clean! Attentive staff! Pet friendly! Definite value for the money paid compared to other hotels in the area. However, If you are looking for the most updated hotel with top notch decor this not the place for you! This feels like your parent’s family home that still sports the same decor and paint job when you left for college 20 years ago. I personally don’t mind that so I give this a high mark because it was clean with an attentive staff! I would definitely stay there again.

Marion is a pretty eventful town.

Marion is a pretty eventful town. There are plenty of things to do in the area, and definitely no shortage of restaurants. I stayed at the Drury Inn, and had a rather nice experience there. There was a slew of restaurants right in the immediate vicinity. I ate at the Applebee's across the way. Very good food, and friendly staff!

Thank God for Marion as my son went to SIU for 4 years...

Thank God for Marion as my son went to SIU for 4 years With the exception of one hotel in Carbondale the rest truly suck. Marion creates the perfect place for students parents to stay especially during graduation. Clean city with plenty of restaurant options, not to forget about the clean hotels Marion has.

The hotel is your best choice if you want to catch an early flight at Marion airport, as it is within walking distance. Once I had to miss my flight in there, as I couldn't get a taxi at 6am. The facilities are not great, the hotel is quite old and old-fashioned as well, but it is clean and very good value for money. The staff is polite and friendly, you just need to ring the bell to show up.
