Pharos Guesthouse – A Perfect Stay by the Beach! I stayed at Pharos Guesthouse for 2 nights, and it was absolutely wonderful! The place is cozy, clean, and very affordable—perfect for travelers looking for comfort without breaking the bank. The location is excellent, right in front of the beach walk, and just a short stroll to a swimmable beach on the left. It’s also close to downtown and restaurants, making it super convenient for dining and exploring the area. There’s even a bar in front and a coffee shop/restaurant just a few steps away, so you’ll never run out of options. One of the highlights of my stay was the receptionist, Danny. He was extremely accommodating and friendly—it was great chatting with him! He even let me borrow a helmet and gave me helpful suggestions on places to visit. The guesthouse also offers some great amenities, including a clean swimming pool and a nice sunbathing spot. They have a kitchen area where you can make coffee or toast, which is very convenient. Overall, the place is spotless, well-maintained, and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend Pharos Guesthouse to anyone visiting the area—I’ll definitely be back!

The property is better than the pictures! it is a stunning location within small village outside of main tourist area of Mui ne. Very quiet and relaxing. The rooms and beds are luxury. All the features were incredible including the bathrooms, shower and bath. My son loved the pool!

Gem of a place!! Amazing staff, friendly and helpful. Rooms very well equipped, very clean and decorated lovely. Great clean pool. Lovely food and a really nice chilled vibe. Great location, everything we needed, markets, shops etc etc, beach one minute away. They arranged day trips, onward journeys and another reason we didn't want to leave...THE BEDS!! Soooo comfy they were actually hard to get out of in the morning to go out for the day!!! If I could've packed that bed, I would!! Thank you for an amazing stay!! ❤️

The resort is in a beautiful location, right on a private beach with a giant swimming pool and lush greenery everywhere you look! The staff is incredibly friendly! Especially the manager, who was able to upgrade up from a beachfront bungalow to a private villa, which was very luxurious and comfortable. The food at the resort was also great, we ordered dinner off the restaurant menu all 3 nights and loved it! Overall, it was a great stay and extremely worth the money! Very relaxing.

Great full-service resort on beautiful sandy beach perfect for long walks. Resort has a pool (and pool bar), beach with lifeguard, restaurant, spa, koi ponds, and lots of space. It also has separate villas available for larger groups /families. The restaurant is decent and has a wide selection (which is good, because there isn’t really anything else within walking distance). Lots of staff, including many groundskeepers that keep busy keeping all the trees, lawn and flowers beautiful.

I recommend this place, the hotel is beautiful also the beach is amazing because it feels like very private because there is only romana hotel in the area. The hotel zone is very green and beautiful. There is a large swimming pool area with clean water. The stuff is very nice and helpful despite the low English proficiency they try to help you so don’t be afraid of this fact.

Buses from the south are likely to drop you at the beach, and transfer you to town with a free minibus shuttle. I stored my luggage at the bus office and walked to Fairy stream, then caught a later shuttle. This was a good way to do it as I hate tours, and only had one more full day to see the sand dunes. Fairy streem is not to be missed.

One end of town hard to walk along, lots of roadworks. Other end, many nice resorts and amazing restaurants. Stayed 5 night 8 years ago, we loved it, as many places around the globe, it has changed, therefore not as nice second time around. Ocean at our end was littered to the max. Wont return. Lots of beachside resorts with ocean fronting restaraunts. Not beachside but Waikiki restaraunt & bar was amazing, drinks, food and outdoor area was like being in the middle of a tropical forest. We went to the Fairy stream, caught a Grab to the beginning of the 1.8 klm stream. Some spots toward the end were difficult to walk fir the elderley, young children and people with health issues. Waterfall at end of stream, flowing well but not to clean due to recent rains. Track to above waterfall where there was a cafe, also led to a road where we caught a taxi back down due to fellow aged travellers. There are activities on offer, but did not participate. Younger or more active people would love the sand dunes.

Old Mui Ne (near Phan Thiet) is entertaining and one can find good seafood and western style restaurants. Basically a place for Vietnamese to enjoy the beach. The beach in Mui Ne is much nicer than Vung Tau and it is better accessible than Vung Tau due to the new expressway. With small children Asteria is certainly a good choice. Foreign adults have nothing to do here and they should go to "old" Mui Ne. Or Nha Trang.

Me and my soon-to-be wife splurged for the first time on the 5-star service at Apec Mandala and got completely mind-blown because it is so darn humongous, as majestic as the Jade Emperor's heavenly palace crashing down to earth. The Mui Ne sea water is so crystal clear you can see right through to the very bottom of the ocean, and the sand is whiter and smoother than a tub of sticky rice flour, making the two of us run and roll around until our knees practically wore out but we were still thrilled to bits. When we stepped into the hotel restaurant, oh my sweet lord, the fancy delicacies were so devastatingly delicious that we stuffed our faces until our belly buttons nearly burst, our stomachs swelling up like festival drums but we were still craving enough to want to uproot their entire kitchen and haul it back to our village to eat gradually.

The location is great but the problem is the 3 hour drive...

The location is great but the problem is the 3 hour drive from Dallas across the very winding road across the hills I think the drive from HCM is more straightforward but twice as long but around 3hours 30 Minutes. I'd go back but only when the Phan Thiet airport opens in 2025. Next tim I would stay Mui Ne side of Phan Thiet
