This was exactly the experience I wanted to have, lodging in a pub in the UK. The place is well-kept and a good value for the money, with comfortable, clean, warm, safe rooms. The pub was friendly and good value, and the town is cute and quiet.

Located in Hexham, 23 miles from MetroCentre, The Boatside Inn has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Breakfast left in the room was ok but not sufficient for a bigger appetite . The location was quiet and it was close enough to walk into Hexham which was good and a lovely walk .

The County Hotel features a shared lounge, restaurant, a bar and tennis court in Hexham. Located around 21 miles from MetroCentre, the inn with free WiFi is also 22 miles away from Theatre Royal.

This is a quant bed/breakfast/tavern. We had a great dinner and drinks when we arrived and breakfast the next morning was cooked to order and excellent. The room was charming. You have the climb the stairs to get around this historic building, but the rooms were nice. The location is right in the middle of this historic town of Hexham. It was a great spot to stay when touring Hadrian's wall.
