I cant say i had to pay then got mixed up about travel but theywere ok answeted email because some reason google maps gave a 7 hour journey opposed to 1 hour previously .need to get taxi after while but i usually like to walk .i was so looking forward to country sidelk swimming pool.

Enjoyed river walk, St Cuthberts Church and Well, Bellingham...

Enjoyed river walk, St Cuthberts Church and Well, Bellingham Heritage Museum and breakfast on the stationary train, Kielder forest and dam, waterfall trail and waterfall. Local shops cafes and pubs. Very friendly community.

Offering a variety of pubs, hotels & two great cafe’s & more with plenty of great walks on the doorstep. You can easily spend a couple of days in the town & surrounding area without having to move the car once you arrive.

Nice village.

Nice village. Would recommend the Hareshaw Linn walk up to the waterfall. Bit of a climb & not suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs. Wear suitable footwear. Also recommend Tea on the Train-lovely food & friendly. Fountain cottage cafe again lovely food & very friendly. Black Bull hotel nice for pub grub.

Bellingham is only a small village but it has everything you...

Bellingham is only a small village but it has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. There's a couple of nice gift shops, some lovely little cafes, a butchers, coop, a couple of pubs and lots of nice local walks. It's also located near to other local attractions like Kielder Forest and the observatory.

Good range of shops for a small village, well stocked CoOp.

Good range of shops for a small village, well stocked CoOp. Plenty of pubs to offer choice. Very friendly staff in all. Very nice village. Lovely river and plenty for walkers or cyclists. Close to Kielder Forest and Water.

Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful. This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue,cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. Certainly not a upmarket hotel. It is however in a stunning location.

The continental breakfast delivered to our door each morning was great value, had a good range of contents, and was ideal for people like ourselves on a walking trip. Additional advantage of the use of a well appointed kitchen where you could prepare an evening meal if you chose to. Plenty of parking and walking distance from Bellingham.
