This hotel really surpassed my expectations! Every member of staff was so polite and friendly and most even knew my name and room number. Dinner and breakfast was from a set menu, unlike the buffet meals I had experienced at other hotels. The food was unbelievable (especially the beef tenderloin) and was a beautiful candlelit meal by the sea. I arrived late, after lunch had been served, and there was no food but the chefs were so kind enough to make something just for me The infinity pool overlooking the beach was beautiful and the beach is more private and quieter here making it my preference over the nearby flic en flac beach. A fantastic experience, would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday by the sea! Thank you to all here for making my stay so memorable

La Pirogue doesn’t try too hard to impress — and that’s exactly why it does. It just gets the important things right: space, atmosphere, and those little details that make you feel at ease. We stayed for 5 nights and it never felt like a hotel, but rather like a little village we didn’t want to leave. The bungalow setup is probably La Pirogue’s secret weapon. Everyone has their own space, spread out across beautifully maintained grounds, so it never feels crowded or “resorty.” It has this relaxed, almost boho vibe (in the best possible way). The beach is huge, with plenty of high-quality sunbeds. And the sunsets… Just wow! Sitting there with a view of Le Morne Brabant in the distance feels almost unreal. The sea is also very swimmable — calm, clear, and not too deep. We also really appreciated the refillable water bottles provided in the room. The bungalow itself was very comfortable, with AC you can actually control (which, after staying in places with “decorative thermostats,” felt like a luxury). The entire hotel grounds are incredibly well maintained — you can see the effort everywhere you look.

It’s a perfect little spot , close to everything you need. The family who owns it makes you feel like part of the family. Food for the soul! Loved it and will be back!

The apartment was very spacious & has a lovely terrace with views of sea & catches the evening sun. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay & we loved the outdoor kitchen & seating area by the pool. We cooked & ate there on a couple of nights. Aurelie was very friendly & attentive - giving advice & checking in on us.

I had a wonderful stay at the villa. The location was perfect, and I felt very secure with the excellent security measures. The space was spacious and clean, and the views were stunning. Highly recommend!

The Stay with Fabrice, Pascale and Familiy was an extraordinary experience. From the first moment of online contact to our arrival until our departure, everything exceeded our expectations (costumer delight on the highest level). After our arrival, we got many valuable tips for adventures and restaurants, where to shop, including activities in the region that were a big value add to our experience. Our apartment was well equipped, tidy, and clean, if somethig was needed, the hosts were always around to help and the property itself was heaven within Tamarin. We really enjoyed our time there with the hosts plus their lovely dogs. It felt like being at home. Thanks again for everything, and I can highly recommend this place for a stay on Mauritius. Krishna, the manager and his teams went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Both of my companions are disabled, the team went out of their way to help us by wheeling them everywhere they desire . The food is excellent with exotic variety. Services are top-notch.

The service was impeccable. They made sure that room was made for nighttime and for morning when we are out. Given we were vegetarian and had a 1 year-old kid, special menu was prepared for all our meals. The food was great. The pool was heated. The beach had privacy. Overall, totally recommended.

Comfortable penthouse with breathtaking views on the beach

The staff was incredibly nice to me the entire time. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious. The beach was less than one minute from my room.
