Was in a beautiful area with amazing views. The hotel was clean. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Was initially disappointed there was no AC in the room but realized you didn’t need it - just kept the balcony door open and the breeze was adequate. Food was good, desserts were great.

Big variety of food, very friendly to vegetarians and food intolerances. Beautiful destination. One of 2 white sandy beaches available. Reception had many ideas for activities and could help with loads of suggestions. Quiet and family friendly crowd, great staff. Many organised activities. Exceptionally clean. Show every night with live music. The family suite was very big with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms, a balcony and a kitchen.

Casa do Arco is located in Arco da Calheta, just 1.1 miles from Caminho Faja do Mar Beach and 14 miles from Girao Cape. Featuring sea and mountain views, this homestay also includes free Wifi.

We didn't know that this place is no hustle or shared house. You get to be the guest of a lovely couple which make you feel at home, giving perfect tips for visiting places and car rental. Still the most pleasant surprise for us was "Lulu" the cuddly kitten 😍 we kept our door open at night so he can cuddle with us! ☺️ The room and bathroom area is separated from their living area and private.

The seafront 4-star hotel Aqua Natura Bay in Madeira features an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a Turkish bath, a sauna and a hot tub. A gym is also available, as well as an on-site diving center.

Despite big hotel we received warm welcome with personal touch (welcome drink, welcome card with my name printed and free bottle of wine). Room was very spacious with all amenities you need and ved was very comfortable. At departure we even received a small gift. Very pleasant stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! We had a beachfront room on the second floor, and as the weather was beautiful, we had the windows wide open while we were there, allowing the beach sounds and smells to drift in. Ponta do Sol is a fantastic little town, in a spectacular setting, with trails coming in from each side. We were gutted we only had the 1 night there, as it would've been quite easy to fill in another day or two. As it is, the hotel location is perfect for doing the popular Levada do Moinha hike, as the start is only a few kms away, uphill. The included breakfast is one of the best we've had on Madeira so far, with a wide variety of both hot and cold dishes. We made use of the gym, which is pretty small and basic, but were still able to get in a suitable chest/triceps workout. There is an indoor pool next to the open gym, which looked great (and was popular), however we didn't use it. One of the better things about the hotel, which we were unaware of until we were there, is the rooftop relaxation area. There are various chairs and couches there, some in the open, and some undercover, but all with a fantastic view over the neighbouring roofs and ocean. Free parking is available in the underground carpark. Having completed our tour of the island of Madeira, this hotel is the stand-out choice of all our accommodation options, and as I mentioned previously, is the one that we really wish we'd had another night or two to spend at!

Excellent location. Staff eager to help. Next to a supermarket and close to city attractions (natural pools, aquarium, viewpoints. Free parking in a close by lot. Towels provided for the natural pool or jacuzzi. Heat available in the room.
