The location. Frangky, his wife and Eda made the stay comfortable. The food was excellent (I really miss the fish) and everyone was very kind. There is usually chicken or fish but you can request vegetarian/vegan options. The beds were comfortable and the mosquito nets worked well (though I didn't notice many mosquitos). The location is excellent as snorkeling by the nearby beaches is great. You can see turtles basically every time you go. The nights are quiet and you can sleep with just a fan. If you need AC that is available as well. Frangky also offers trips and the dolphin trip was a good choice.

Sunset Guest House & Bar in Bunaken provides adults-only accommodations with a private beach area and a bar. There's a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

this homestay was really really nice. the food 3x a day (7-9am, 12.30pm, 7.30pm) is soooo good. best food i had in indonesia, and different meals each time. Helmi and his wife and family are so nice. there's even a tofu restaurant small business in the front of the homestay, very cute. it's on the beach which is great, easy to rent snorkel gear (about 50k/day) and a motorbike (also about 100k/day). right next door to Blueshark diving, Dion and Jeffrey and the crew here are awesome. The snorkeling is also nice right at the reef at the property, just swim like 50-100m out (takes 5 mins). Amazing sunsets. Room is simple. A bit hot in the mornings. There's free coffee/water/tea. Bathroom is simple, just 1 bathroom shared with 3 rooms. i hope to stay again!

Amazing stay at Renny’s Tangkoko Safety Stop. Renny and her son are super good host & made our stay perfect. Ino ( her son ) is in charge of the jungle tour and has a strong knowledge ( and patience) for all animals & we had the chance to spot Cuscus Bear, Black Macaques, tarantulas, Tarsiers thanks to him. The homestay is super clean with great space & bed. I highly recommend this place that is a gateway at the door of Tangkoko park Thank you for all Renny & Ino 🙌

We stayed 6 nights . Comfortable cliff bungalow room with on-site bathroom and relaxing big wide terrace with 2 hammocks. Great view and very quiet atmosphere. Sifa, the owner, is very helpful and communicating.

My stay at Lavana truly gave "island paradise" vibes. Staying here during the "soft opening" phase gave me a chance to disconnect and enjoy the beachfront + coconut tree views on my own private patio. You can see the sunrise through your window and it's just a short walk up the beach to see the sunset. The local indonesian dishes are delicious and varied, with lots of veggies :). Personally I found information on the internet about getting to/from Una-una a bit difficult/out of date, but just reach out to the resort and they'll give you all the info you need! Last but definitely not least the diving and snorkeling here is amazing! The resort managers are also dive guides/instructors, and you can reach the famous "Black Forest" corals from shore! Ditte showed me some really cool nudibranches -- if the tides are right, make sure you do a night dive too!

Sun moon was a fabulous location not far from Bitung and right on the beach. The accommodation and communal spaces were of exceptional standard as was every meal. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming also great to spend time chatting with. Can’t recommend sunmoon enough and look forward to returning one day.,

If you are coming here for snorkeling, Pangalisan beach and the area in front of Bunaken cafe n resto is the best and easiest shore-entry snorkel I have found. It's a 15 minute walk. The area directly in front of the homestay is not well-suited for snorkeling due to boat traffic and currents. It's so good that I'm coming back again.
