Breakfast was very nice. I enjoyed the japanese breakfast with fish; curry, oden with miso soup and rice. The osen would clean and not crowded. The area is great for hiking for all levels. I 76 yrs old...but the hike downhill from the hotel was beautiful. The few shops provide manji and cookies for purchase. The wifi was excellent. The local bus to Nihonmatsu is very cheap.

Aizu Higashiyama Onsen "Shosuke no Yado Takinoyu" since1880 is a recently renovated ryokan in Aizuwakamatsu where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and garden.
