Le Castillan and its employees are top notch, local hosts. They truly enjoy inspiring you with the serenity and beauty of Alpe d'Huez and everything the town offers. The location is perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the "Shopping" and "Bar" district, but distinctly close enough you don't need to break a sweat (but still count those stairs) to get there! Ski lifts are all located within 5 minutes walk.

Set near the center of the Alpe d’Huez and at the foot of the ski slopes and ski elevators, this hotel features an indoor pool and a spa center with sauna, hot tub.

Staff was top-notch; from the front desk to the concierge to the team at the spa and restaurants, we were so impressed with the service. A wonderful place to return after a day on the slopes. Room was well-appointed with all the necessities and then some...and that view! Loved the spa, the outdoor pool and sauna facilities, and breakfast. We absolutely recommend this place!

The breakfast, as always, was delicious. The fresh orange juice is such a lovely touch. Best of all is where you can eat the breakfast . . . on the patio with an amazing view. The staff (Loic and Lena in particular) are all amazing. Very helpful. Then there is the amazing pool. The best in the area. We had it to ourselves! Wonderful location, wonderful food.
