Romantic Hotels in Saumur

Room location was great very accessible to everything and very quiet. Loved being able to get to the spa area in the bathrobes that were on loan to us with a bag to carry our belongings that was very well thought out.

Fabulous hotel with excellent customer service, a gorgeous bedroom and excellent amenities. The owner has upgraded this beautifully renovated mansion. The sauna, hot tub pool and well stocked bar made the visit perfect. Our favorite place in the Louri Valley!

The hotel has been beautifully renovated and our apartment was delightful: clean, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, and we loved the city of Saumur. We found a local restaurant with an excellent menu within easy walking distance of the hotel. Check in and parking were easy, and our hosts were helpful and present at all times.

The staff was helpful, the location was close to restaurants and the secure garage for bikes was appreciated.

The view of the river and the town of Saumur is second to none. We loved our room and it’s outlook. Wonderful location, lovely staff, and very nice breakfast. Can’t wait to come back!

The room was spectacular - large, artistically beautiful, and comfortable. I really wish we could have stayed longer than just the one night... it was that charming! The staff was terrific, as well.

After originally booking Maison de Gaspard which was not for a family of 4 people we were so happy to find Les Terraces de Saumur! Comfortable beds, great staff, and delicious meal!! (The 'doubles' are larger than a Queen in the U.S. We are used to a King and the size was fine. We got 2 rooms since kids had to share a double bed, too.) I didn't expect such a good meal at a hotel, but of course it is France! Huge spread for breakfast and although I am wary of machines that make coffee the ones they have actually make a very good cappuccino. Perfect stay. Responsive staff. Very happy. Pool is nice and heated. TIP: if you are in Saumur Sunday and Monday pay for the meals at the hotel because we found out that all restaurants/cafes, etc are closed and only serve drinks on these days.

This is a lovely hotel in an old stone building, very tastefully refurbished. It is in the dead center of Saumur, so it is close to everything. The breakfast is sumptuous and delicious. All of the staff are great—and Regis will help you find whatever you may need!

Good location near Loire a Velo cycle path and in center of Saumur. Secure bicycle storage in bar area. Very courteous and helpful staff who gave us great restaurant recommendations.

Our hosts were exceptional. The breakfast was the best food we have had on our trip-homemade confiture, miel, and confectionery. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Lovely walk to centre ville and gare. Could not have asked for better accommodation.
