Charming set of small houses with a nice courtyard in the middle for meeting people. It was also possible make your own coffee, etc. It also had a nice pool in the sun which I enjoyed using (but wasn't much used by other guests). Everything in the house worked well, from the air-conditioning to the open shower. Breakfast (available for 35K) was quite nice. Staff arranged to have us taken to the train station, 700 meters away, by car for free, which we appreciated given our suitcases.

The Arya Guest House was hands down one of the best places we stayed. The owners were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They made us feel like family, shared arak with us, pointed out the best local food spots, and just had great energy overall. They also helped us set up an awesome snorkeling trip in the national park for literally half the price of what others were charging. On top of that, they arranged our trip to climb Mt. Ijen and made it completely stress-free. Everything was smooth and easy thanks to them. Good people, good prices, and good vibes all around. If you're in the area, stay here, they’ll take care of you.
