Grand Hotel De Djokja was much more than just a place to stay for us. Located in the heart of Yogyakarta, it impressed us with its beautifully restored interiors, elegant room, and unique atmosphere where more than a century of history blends seamlessly with modern comfort. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the incredibly warm, attentive, and professional staff, whose hospitality turned our visit into a memorable experience. Combined with its perfect location on Malioboro Street, this historic hotel offered everything we could have wished for. Grand Hotel De Djokja is a place we would gladly return to, and one that we will remember long after our journey through Indonesia.

One of my favorite hotels in the whole world 🥰 such a little gem, hidden in the middle of the city. And the windows in the rooms actually open... That is so nice.

It was beyond our expectations - the customers service extended by the hotel staffs especially Afiz & Tian from the Front Desk! Afiz went far extra assisting me with transportation bookings, etc. Room itself was very clean & comfortable. Food offered was excellent - breakfast choices & restaurant’s menu selections. Overall I would rate this property Excellent, thank you to the entire team!

I stayed here in September, and honestly, it was one of those trips where everything just felt right from the moment I walked through the door. The staff were incredibly kind, fast, helpful, the kind of hospitality that feels very Indonesian in the best way. And Fauzan (bellhop) assisted me with my heavy luggage during check-out, and I really appreciated his help.

It was centered to many places we could go for a walk to get food or coffee.

The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with antique furniture. The Staff are friendly and helpful, the pool welcoming and the surrounding area has a great vibe with bars and restaurants.

Very friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. They had snacks and tea for free in the outdoors seating area. Convenient location with lots of cafe and restaurant options right outside. The rooms are clean and comfy.

Hotel was in excellent location to reach historical sites. Many restaurants close by offering a wife range of cuisine. Room was good size with good ac and lighting. Water provided

The hotel has a very local vibe and it looks amazing, rooms are super big and comfortable. It is near restaurants and bars.

I was worrying a bit when I read the reviews. Smelly bathrooms, mosquitoes everywhere, no breakfast options, broken door locks... But either we got lucky with our rooms or the hotel has improved since. The outside and courtyard with swimming pool look gorgeous. The big lobby is equally impressive. We did experience a broken lock with one of the rooms, but staff fixed that electronically within minutes. I spotted 1 mosquito in the room, may he rest in peace. Breakfast options are mostly local. Gudeg, rice, fruit, but also slices of bread. Lastly the bathrooms were fine and didn't smell.

d'Omah is a true gem for those who love Indo art and design! The layout of the place is fantastic! Credits to Warwick Purser! Too bad I didn't get to meet him!
