Arriving late was no issue – the key was waiting for me in a secured box with clear instructions on how to find the cabin. The entire check-in process was simple and calm. The location? Breathtaking. The red rorbu cabin stood by the water, beautifully renovated, modern, and warm. That night, I opened a bottle of champagne and fell asleep like a baby. In the morning, I explored the nearby village of Å, where I sent a few real paper postcards – the kind with stamps, ink, and addresses, not just ones and zeros 😉 Later, I climbed the nearby mountain you recommended, and the view from the top left me completely speechless. Thank you for the tip – it was unforgettable.

We liked everything! The house is so nice, cosy, with big windows and stunning views. I think it looks better than in the photos. And we were able to see the aurora from our bedroom and even from the sauna :)

This is a lovely property that the owner has been working on for about 2 years. We met Kjetil and got to talk to him multiple times. He is extremely friendly and is always working on something to improve your stay/future stay. He noticed that our refrigerator was making funny noises, so he purchased a new one and offered to replace it during our stay. The rorbuer is right on a dock and you can even take a quick polar plunge if you would like to. It's far enough away from Reine and the other bigger villages to feel secluded, but you can also walk to some nearby hikes and the grocery store. The rorbuer itself has plenty of space and separate areas for you to spread out. There is a deck and picnic table and chair out front which was perfect for the warmer days we got to experience. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom was spacious. Kjetil was very communicative and even offered to drive us in to Reine to catch the ferry if it were easier for us. We didn't take him up on his offer, but it was very kind.

We ended up being upgraded to a waterfront cabin but regardless of where you stay in Reine the scenery there is absolutely gorgeous. We even caught the aurora!

Awesome place! Great view from the bedroom and balcony. Very spacious for 1, 2, or 3 persons. I was by myself, but there is an extra couch in the dining room if needed. The balcony was the greatest spot for photographing the Aurora, and that tiny island you can use it for other angles of Aurora, but for the landmark mounting in front of you, the balcony is the best - also sunrise, sunset photos of the landmark mountain. Great Lofoten map in the dining room and an amazing old stylish boat hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom are a great bonus!
