Romantic Hotels in Valença

Nice hotel along the camino road just perfect for rest after long day of waking. Staff was very friendly. Room was small but it had all you need. Cozy, clean - everything was perfect. Can only recommend.

The views were spectacular, the Minho River winding between Portugal and Spain among lush verdant trees, cityscapes, hills and valleys.The staff were friendly and helpjul. We had left our bags, and they were already in our room when we returned to check in. A sweet note with pasteis de nata and fruit awaited us in the room. The social spaces were inviting & plentiful, the rooms spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The pousada sat at the far end of the ancient fortaleza with fabulous trails. Tons of stores and places to eat. We'll definitely return.

Spectacular view of the River Minho and it is inside the Fortress. It is quiet and we couldn’t get enough of the view. Place is clean and cute!

So far, on my 8th day on the Camino, this has been the best hotel! The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and equipped with a fridge and a coffee machine. The property itself is stunning, surrounded by a lovely garden and featuring a large swimming pool. The on-site restaurant served the best pilgrim lunch we’ve had so far. Diogo reached out before our arrival to confirm the time and was extremely kind and welcoming when we met. Highly recommended!

Location adjacent to good family restaurant. Auberge close to purchase Camino passport. Across the street from Fortaleza de Valença: Baluarte de São Jerónimo - not to be missed & has restaurants.

Worth the splurge during our Camiño! Enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace :)

Perfect location. Quiet, yet close to everything. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was high quality food and plenty of it. I would definitely stay here again!
