The Jungle Gayborhood hotel experience was the perfect way to relax, play in nature, and nourish my body with delicious natural foods. Their diverse team's warmth and hospitality made me feel incredibly welcome and safe. The beautiful bamboo-crafted king cabins are stunning with their unique vantage point, welcoming nature into the living experience while still feeling protected from the elements. The grounds, trails, and access to local waterfalls make for a perfect way to spend afternoons exploring nature's beauty. For any LGBTQd+ traveler looking to have an opportunity for self reflection and reconnection, I highly recommend making a trip to jungle. There are plenty of opportunities to opt in to body work, reiki, fire spinning, sound baths, yoga practice, etc. It might seem like a trek, but it's worth it. Do yourself a favor and visit this land. There's an energy that words cannot quite fully explain.

Lapazul is an absolute gem—easily one of the most memorable places I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. The views are simply breathtaking, perched high in the jungle with the ocean in the distance, and the chance to spot local wildlife adds to the magic. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and have everything you need to truly relax. But what really sets Lapazul apart is the top-notch hospitality. The warmth and attention to detail from the staff is among the best I’ve ever experienced—genuine, personal, and truly caring. Special mention to Mr. Jorge, whose first-class service and warm presence made us feel incredibly welcome. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered at any hotel in the world. And the food? Outstanding. Every dish is full of flavor and heart, far surpassing the local restaurants in town. The menu is focused and perfectly executed, with ingredients that shine. You can taste the passion in every bite. If you’re looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature and comfort, this is the place. Plus, it’s just a short drive down to the beach at Dominical. I can’t recommend it enough.

Quiet, cabins surrounded by nature

The hostel really has cool vibes. It's very close to the beach. The staff is amazing, helpful and sweet. The room was comfortable, the AC works well, there's a kitchen if you'd like to cook, a fridge if you wanna save food for later. The pool is also very nice. It's very close to an amazing restaurant with absolutely delicious, organic and vegan food called Lori's. There's also a restaurant right next to the hostel that was very good too.

The main detail that attracted us to this hotel was the adults only part of the advertisement. Then when looking at the pictures we fell in love with the decor and the peacefulness we felt just looking at them. The room was large (probably the largest in the hotel?) and very comfortable. The room had four components, the bathroom area, two consecutive rooms and a sitting area at the front of the room. The AC worked really well but mainly in the room where it was situated and a bit in the room next door but not as much out in the sitting room. They have a common kitchen area where we cooked breakfast daily and others also made lunch/dinner. The pool and outside lounge area were very nice and relaxing to chill daily. The room was really quiet, very good for sleeping. The town of Dominical is a bit secluded but there are lots of different restaurants and shops around, although the food is not great at least there are options but the prices are USA prices so that's a bummer. The hotel does not have a dedicated space for a group yoga practice but there is a small covered area where one can practice but it only fits a few mats.

We loved our stay in this tranquil setting! We booked 3 nights and decided to extend our stay. We learned that many others did the same. The room, the garden, the kitchen and sitting area were all great! Just an overall comfortable place with good energy. The staff were awesome as well! Great location with just a short walk to the beach and town. Also the convenience of a restaurant and laundry right across the road.

This place is paradise. We saw more animals here than anywhere else so far in Costa Rica. Even though it is just off the main highway, it is the jungle. The property is large, and full of trees. A troupe of monkeys comes to visit almost everyday. There are agouti, coati, iguana, toucans, hummingbirds, and at night, not far away, coyotes. There is an absolute symphony of nature sounds. The owner, Bettina, and her daughters, are lovely. The breakfast is great - fresh fruit, fresh buns, eggs, cereal, coffee. It kept us going all day. The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the Nauyaca Waterfalls, Marino Ballena National Park and the Uvita beach, Hacienda Baru nature trails, the Alturas Wildlife Sancturary, and more. There is a lovely swimming pool. We would do an excursion in the morning, and hang out by the pool in the afternoon. We were here for six nights, and had a fantastic time. Would definitely visit again.

Absolutely one of the best places I stayed at in Costa Rica and Ive been coming down for at least 7 years. This is such a comfortable and clean place. Max is amazing. I highly recommend this spot.

Absolutely charming property.

Very nice place to stay for our family. We enjoyed the bird watching and other wildlife in the area.

Spacious and very clean. Located at the very centre of Dominical. Easy access to everything. Big supermarket 6 min away walking. Beach was walking distance as well.

Beautiful ocean view and you can hear the waves crashing. Great outdoor space which is where we spent our time when we were at the property. We were fortunate to be the only occupants for our 3-night stay in mid-December 2025 as there are 2 other villas that share the pool and outdoor BBQ space however you do also have your own outdoor space as well. Accommodations very new and very clean with everything you need in the kitchen to cook and or dine in and also had everything needed for outdoor BBQ cooking. Bath towels and beach towels provided and very thick and high quality. Also had beach mats and yoga mats for use as well. Property does sit up high with steep hills to drive up to get to it so I would suggest a 4-wheel drive or definitely all-wheel drive. Property is well landscaped on the hill, and it is lit up with different colored lights at night and looks amazing as you drive up.
