Rooms in Hampi

Excellent location. 3 mins walk from Virupaksha temple, which you can see right from the roof top. the room was small but comfortable. I actually had the temple view from my window, but it's a smaller window. Hot water 24 hrs. My room was in a separate building so no restaurant noise and privacy from staff. I did yoga on the rooftop in the morning and it was beautiful. There's also yoga classes and a massage place nearby (not run by this hostel). They arranged my tuktuk from the train station - it was more expensive (400rs vs 300rs market rate), but worked great for me given my late arrival. The auto driver who picked me up (Pampas) was super nice. They let me stay 1h longer after checkout which was very kind. The fan worked very well and I wasn't hot at all in 30C weather.

As a solo traveler, I found the staff super helpful. They connected me with other travelers to explore with and gave great advice on what to see and do. Facilities were top notch.

Variety in food, but dosa idli can also be added.

Very well kept and comfortable hotel. The food is sumptuous with a great spread of options. The location is also great which is within the Jindal township. It is 35 kms from the humpi ruins but still a very plush option to stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful new place in the heart of Sanapur, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how easy it was to reach—just off the main road, making errands and shopping a breeze, yet tucked away enough to offer peace and tranquility. One of the biggest highlights is the stunning view of the lush paddy fields, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are incredibly spacious, with comfortable beds that guarantee a great night's sleep. The on-site restaurant is beautifully designed, with a special mention for the gorgeous bar—it’s the perfect place to unwind. The food and drinks? Absolutely top-notch! I had one of the best cappuccinos here, and their pizza is simply amazing—a must-try! What truly makes this place special, though, is the fantastic staff—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. And to top it all off, the owner is hilarious, adding an extra dose of fun to the whole experience. If you’re looking for a comfortable, stylish, and well-located place in Sanapur, this is it. I can’t wait to return!

If you're planning to explore the Sanapur side, this place is a breeze to access and offers a stunning view of the Tungabhadra River—just a short 200-meter walk away. I really enjoyed the food, the warm hospitality, and the cozy common area. It’s lush, peaceful, and completely immersed in nature. I’ve been working remotely from here, and the Wi-Fi speed has been great. The soothing sound of the Tungabhadra in the background makes it even more special (I’ll be sharing everything soon on my Insta: @deboprioz). The host is incredibly accommodating, and the service is top-notch. It has a relaxed, hippie vibe, yet it’s also family-friendly. They even offer tuk-tuk/auto services for exploring nearby spots. Overall, I found it to be excellent value for money.

Everything: Hotel itself is like palace and from the moment you enter till the moment you leave you feel yourself as the most important guest in this palace. Absolutely professional and friendly staff, rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. Food is delicious.

The Temple View guesthouse is one of the best places if you want to be near the centre of Hampi. The main temple, and temple hill, sunset view point, as well as the river are walking distance from the house, and you have a great selection of restaurants and shops just around the corner as well. Our host Sangu was very kind a helpful, he organised a rickshaw to pick us up from Hospete train station, and another one to take us around the sites that were not within walking distance. We had interesting chats with him, and learnt a lot about Hampi's history. I highly recommend this guesthouse if you are looking for good value for money and kind personal care!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The place was very clean, neat, and spacious, making it incredibly comfortable. The owners, especially Somesh Uncle and his son, were very humble and hospitable, which added a personal touch to the experience. The location is also great—open and refreshing. Highly recommend staying here!

The location is great, right next to the Virupaksha Temple and Hampi Bazaar. The room is simple, but comfortable, and the terrace is a plus to enjoy the breakfast with the temple view and listening to mantras. The host Jilan and his family are very kind, helpful and considerate. Jilan assisted us in booking a driver to pick us up at the Hubli airport and drive us to the guesthouse and he also assisted us in booking a train to Mysore as we didn't know how to book it. The breakfast is great, specially the chocolate pancake, but please note that this is paid extra and not included on the booking! They have auto service to sightseeing, and Jilan explains the monuments very well. Please note that everything in Hampi is paid in cash, so remember to stop at an ATM before arriving. Overall, we loved our stay at this guesthouse and we highly recommend it!

The host was superb any time anything you need he is helpful

Good stay and their family was kind and friendly 🙂 they were even there to let me drop off my stuff at 5am when the bus got in!!

I would say, Sanjay has been a great host, room was neat and clean, well maintained. I liked the terrace sitting area. Sanjay also helped us to plan the daily itinerary. We enjoyed the whole trip very much. Also it's worth mentioning the food at his restaurant was really awsome. Definitely would recommend someone to stay here whenever visit hampi.

I travelled hampi with my family and this is my first trip with my family I went to hampi and I was worried about, where to go how to do, what is the price? So many things in my mind and while I was searching in online which place to book finally I found the place Murali Guest House Hampi, thanks to booking.com for that, after reading all the reviews still I have so many confusion in my mind but once I booked the place, immediately the guest House owner Murali called me and he try to explained me how to reach their place and even they arranged pick up from hospet ofcourse it is chargeable for that for separately and once I reach the place Murali and entire his team members and the family super amazing, they are always there to help us, and murali made very helpful website he sent me one pfd file it's like a digital visiting card of his place and once we click on it, it will take you to every single places in day one and day 2 trips and I never seen any websites like that because every pictures you click it will takes you that location through Google map that you don't need to ask anyone about the directions and it is one by one and you don't waste also your time. Why I'm writting this much clearly because after I went there I got more clear vision and relax and murali and his team members helped us a lot. So if you planning to come to hampi then no worries about anything just book the place and enjoy your stay. I forgot to tell you about murali father or he takes us for sightseeing with their rickshaw for hampi and anegundi side and they have a bike also for rent and manju in the restaurant they made amazing food and mainu and the chef Vijay also amazing thanks for giving us a good food. The whole team members loved it. And I loved our stay at Murali Guest House Hampi.

Super cosy and friendly guesthouse, perfectly equipped kitchen, beautiful inner yard and garden, rooms very private, so clean, perfect!
