The host is very nice, she makes sure all the guest’s request are satisfied.

Exceptional views of the forest, rooms are big. And the Onsen was also incredible, it has an interior, and exterior bath just next to the river. I definitely recommend it!

The room is small but comfortable. The hotel guests share the hot spring and also the meals at the nearby Sansuikan Kawayu Midori. The buffet dinner and breakfast are fantastic! Open air hot spring is by the river which is extremely unique!

Two private onsens; right on the river where you can dig your own onsen and have it fill with natural warm water; delicious meals; very friendly staff who assisted us with a luggage shuttle at late notice.

Our host was lovely. Our fellow travelers were enthusiastic and generous. We loved being able to cook our dinner in a clean kitchen.

Perfect Location: The location is absolutely excellent, situated right in front of the beautiful river. It was so peaceful. Authentic Rooms: The rooms are traditional Japanese style—very cozy, clean, and pleasant to stay in. Incredible Food: The food was outstanding! You can really tell that a lot of thought, care, and effort went into preparing every single meal.

The staff were very friendly and extra helpful. They properly explained the features and facilities of the hotel, as well as the rules and regulations. They were also very prompt. Dinner was served exactly at 6:30PM. Talking about the dinner, it was exceedingly delicious and sumptuous. There were a total of 13 Japanese dishes, and the staff took time to explain how to eat them and in what order. The hotel also had both private and public onsens (shared with other guests). My friends and I had the best experience, given that we had just completed our Kumano Kodo. Breakfast was equally delicious. Lastly, we are deeply grateful to the staff member who drove us to the nearest bus station to ensure that we did not miss our forward schedule. Everyone, book your stay at the Yunominesou. It’s super worth it.

Beautiful location on the river…the private onsen baths were very nice and much larger than expected and were easy to find openings many times in the night and morning. Perfect temperature. The hotel traditional breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Beautiful old ryokan in the center of Yunomine Onsen, with key historical sites located just across the street. The onsens in the ryokan, especially those outdoors, are lovely. The kaiseki ryori dinner was incredible -- so luxurious, interesting, delicious and served in a semi-private dining room. Given our limited exposure to kaiseki, we appreciated that our server explained the food we were eating in English and how best to eat it. Our room was spacious with a view of the center of town. We were hiking the Kumano Kodo, so also appreciated the friendly staff helping us figure out how to take the bus the following morning to our next trailhead. I read my husband an article years ago about hiking the Kumano Kodo in which Ryokan Adumaya was highlighted, and have wanted to stay there ever since. We were not disappointed!

Exceptional property, beautiful Japanese home, modern, clean, new, and fully equipped with washer & dryer. Location very close walking distance to Kumano Kodo trail head at Ukegawa. Owner also runs a noodle restaurant at the trail head. The home is about 2 miles from Hongu. The owner is wonderful. Excellent value.

The host was very helpful with getting or luggage transported.

Sublime, clean property. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were delicious and great after a day of hiking the Kumano Kodo

The entire property, location, most important is Aya was so nice and helpful. She was the first person who speaks English we met, up to the date. She prepared vegetables instant noodle and other dry food for us, which I hardly can get in my whole trip in Japan. Aya also delivered our luggage to our next hotel free of charge. Thank you very much Aya!

The kitchen is well equipped. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. Great place!!
