Rooms in Imabari

Not sure if this was a ryokan, but comfortable stay regardless. Location is a bit off the main road and up a hill. Close to Ōyamazumi Shrine and the main shopping street. Host very friendly and accommodating. This is an older house, and the rooms aren't soundproof. You're able to hear other guests talking in the common area downstairs. But it didn't bother me, and I was still able to go to bed early. The sounds just felt like being in a house with family. Washer and dryer are free to use.

Nice location! It is close to the bridge and a konbini. The check-in was smooth. The staff who served us did a great job. She explained things clearly, and there was no communication issue as well. Kudos to her! The cabin and public area (cafe, lockers, toilet, shower, garage, and laundrymart) were excellent. It was clean, tidy, and spacey. They provide nice amenities. I loved the dinner set as well; it was filling and tasty! Lastly, as a smoker, I really appreciate that they have a smoking area at the front of the hostel/the corner of the garage. Overall, I got what I needed and had a great time in this hostel. I think this hostel is the best hostel I've ever been to.

Amazing location along the Shiminami Kaido. The kitchen was stocked with snacks and late arrival food. The whole place was clean, beautifully restored, and our host was lovely.

The house is beautiful, located away in a quiet area (up a steep hill), very picturesque and decorated in beautiful traditional Japanese style. The volunteers were very welcoming and the facilities were great. In the end my friends couldn't stay and the owner offered to give them a refund, which I thought was very generous.

The location was excellent in its own right. There is a supermarket right behind the property, so one would have no problems with necessary food or amenities.

It was extremely clean and comfortable. Very chic, modern, Japanese style furniture. The owners were very accommodating and hospitable. The view from the bedroom and the kitchen was breathtakingly beautiful. I would definitely stay there again. For cyclists: it was a bit far from Shimanami Kaido cylcing road. It's 13km ride inside the island (so add 26km to your itinerary). It's a very scenic ride inside the island to get there but one must plan accordingly.

It is in a very quiet location. There is a small beach just behind the house. Outside the house can park 2-3 cars. There are 3 rooms of reasonable size. 2 rooms are with 2 double decker beds. 1 room with 2 single beds, and this room is joined to the sitting area. The kitchen and dining area is certainly the most interesting area. The kitchen has all the facilities for light cooking, and the large dining table can easily seat 10. The is a washing machine and dryer, and wifi is good and strong. The place is quite remote, so it is suitable for those travelling by own vehicle, car, bicycle or motorbike. The hosts are very hospitable and very helpful with local places to visit. They met us on arrival. Check-out was also free of hassle.

Great place to stop off along the Shiminami Kaido. Rustic and homely hostel, run by a lovely and attentive host.

His property was the highlight of my wife and I bike trip. The sauna was excellent. The views were amazing. The house was gorgeous. The only bad thing was we only stayed one night. Next time we will book for an entire week.

Stayed here in the middle of our Shimanami Kaido Cycling route and it was perfect! They have a large parking area for bikes and it's not too far off the main path. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean, and had everything we needed. Great place to rest after a lot of biking. There's also a couple of restaurants nearby that are open until late. They also serve a delicious and filling Japanese breakfast.
