My stay at Sign Palace was amazing!! It is very convenient for the location (10 minutes walking to city centre), easy to access (a code will be provided, no risk to loose the keys), modern inside, spacious and super clean. The apartment I was staying (206) came with two very comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, all the material to clean the space (including a vacuum), towels and toiletries. Air conditioning, TV and great wifi are also provided.
I stayed 10 days and the owner kindly offer cleaning service.

The location was great, very close to the central station of Kagoshima. The hotel staff were friendly, and check-in and out was easy. Our room was comfortable and good for the price.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. There’s a coffee/tea machine in the room. The bathroom was very small but it was brand new and very clean.
There’s a reception so we could store our luggage before the check-in time, and a sitting area in the lobby. The hotel was walking distance to the ferry port to Yakushima and to Tenmonkan.

We booked our room and paid for an upgrade to a lager room, but this did not happen. When we alerted the Grand Base that we had not been allocated the room we paid for a superior triple room that sleeps x 5 we were told they did not receive an upgrade from booking.com and that as far as they were concerned, we had been given the correct room. We were told to take it up with booking.com ourselves.

Our room was much more spacious than other hotels in Japan. The onsen/bath house was amazing with a sauna and cold plunge which we loved. The location was excellent with easy access to the station and everything we wanted to see in Kagoshima.

The hotel was located right across from a supermarket which made it easy to get food and amenities. Parking was also easy to navigate - we drove a rental car so not having to pay for parking was a huge plus for us. It's also located near bus stops and trams stops.
We got a wonderful view overlooking Sakurajima from our room, and it was spacious enough for our group of 4.

Really spacious and bright room. The king bed. Throughout the building and my room were clean. Staff was helpful. It is located within walking distance to Tenmonkan.

Modern, bathroom and toilet modern and spacious for Japan. Enough room for luggage. Comfortable stay. Location good, right next to shops and restaurants. I had a decent view of Sakurajima from my room on the 13th floor, albeit on an angle).

My room (single room for non-smoker) is much spacious than I expected. Loved the coffee machine and coffee capsule they provided (they also had the ready-made coffee kettle on the ground floor). The staff was very helpful and they walked out of the hotel to show us directions when asked :) It was a nice stay :)

Location is fantastic, it's lovely to be able to see Sakurajima from the terrace. I didn't go for a room with a view of it (because it was eye-wateringly expensive in comparison) but you can see it from the breakfast bar and if you wander outside.
Shuttles to / from the hotel are regular so if you're without a car, as I was, it's fine. Alternatively the walk up the hill isn't that bad and good if you want to burn off some ramen calories.
Onsen is great as well.
