JapanIt was our first camping trip . We really loved the place . So calm and relaxed place ever. The concept is so good . Staff were very friendly and kindhearted. Environment,room,bathroom,all were very clean and maintaining by the staff every day. They have activities also. I really enjoyed the making a bamboo lantern😍. The hotel is located in a great spot just at the base of a mountain. The hot spring water is refreshing. The room and meals were wonderful!! The private bath was nice to use but the public bath is great too! The small hot spring town is really nice to walk though. A nice lake is just a short drive up the mountain. Initial D was inspired from this mountain, there are many things related to it near by.

the balcony onsen its the highlight but the room is good and the gift shop is really good. they have a displays for the animes that have connections to this site including inishl d and yama no susume and sell some merchandise for the onsen susume girls. the staff had good English and were accommodating to us keeping our bags there earlier than 3pm.

Great stay in an amazing ryokan with incredible onsen. Ikaho is a very serene and scenic town and the locals were very kind and welcoming. Lots of amenities for clients, such as karaoke room, private and public onsen, library, and all you can eat breakfast service. The onsen was incredibly refreshing and the 45 minutes are more than enough to relax and refresh.

Lovely spacious room, and clean hot springs. The hot springs are open all through the night, so if you want to go in at 4am, you can! The staff were friendly, and the location has lovely views across valleys.

Beautiful rooms and halls, I loved wearing the yukata and just looking around. Dinner and breakfast were elaborate and delicious, and everyone was so kinda and helpful. It's located right at the foot of the stone steps so very convenient and a nice view. Everyone was very patient with my mediocre Japanese (I think if you didn't know any it might be difficult)

The hotel is beautiful and our room was clean and spacious! Hotel staff was very accommodating, especially since a person in our group was injuries on a hike. Best food I've had at a ryokan! Highly recommend this ryokan!

This building probably dates from the 1970’s, a period in Japan when lots of ugly white concrete monsters were built in areas of natural beauty. Many are now closed or so rundown that customers avoid them. The Ikaho Grand is certainly not a beauty to look at from the outside, but they are making great efforts to renovate public areas and rooms. The lobby is very beautiful, and my floor had recently been painted in attractive colors and the carpet was new. My room was nicely redone as well.

Once we found the place, we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in every way. It’s an older style place, very spacious, very Showa period. The room was big, the hot spring bath relaxing and the food was good. They also have a ‘happy hour’.
