AustraliaGreat location and charming accomodation and room. The onsens were some of the best I've ever used in Japan, the extra hot bath is especially great on a cold night. Staff were extremely helpful and showed me places worth visiting in Kusatsu. Would definitely stay again.

SwitzerlandIt was amazing! The location is central. It takes just a short walk to see most attractions. Our ryokan (Moegi) was spacious and so beautiful. The lady at the reception is a very kind soul and made us feel so welcome. The pudding made by her husband as a welcome gift was delicious. This was one of my favorite places from our three week vacation.

The location, ambience, and amenities were all very exceptional. The hot springs were very clean and relaxing, and the room itself was very spacious and comfortable.
The hotel staff was very helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us! They even helped us to arrange a taxi early the morning of our departure!

It was our first camping trip . We really loved the place . So calm and relaxed place ever. The concept is so good . Staff were very friendly and kindhearted. Environment,room,bathroom,all were very clean and maintaining by the staff every day. They have activities also. I really enjoyed the making a bamboo lantern😍. We really enjoyed our vacation at Akagi Tokiwa Forest Campsite. 🏕️ we highly recommend this beautiful campground place . Thank you so much ☺️

Great lodge in the very picturesque place. The idea of accompanying it with the coffee roastery is impressive, and it provides an opportunity of having fresh specialty coffee while having your breakfast here.
The lodge has spacious shared place (where one can have some fun) on the first floor, and rooms on the second.
People who run this place are awesome and very kind, it makes you want to come here again.

Kaiseki breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing and the service and eye for detail incredible. I loved my spacious room and comfortable futon. And the onsen were perfect. This could not have been better. Absolutely loved it

Room quality and view exceeded my expectations as did the breakfast. Would recommend having dinner there as well in order to be able to enjoy the room and onsen more.
They provide transport from/to closest bus station but I would recommend just walking to it (about 20 min.), very green and the feeling of japanese countryside is nice.
The Yukatas are amazing (and top quality).

Our fourth stay here and we are still absolutely smitten with this place. Comfortable rooms, wonderful staff, delicious food, and the best baths in the prefecture, all wrapped up in a cozy, creaky, glowing inn nestled deep in the woods.

Great view on the mountains from my room. Close to the stone steps of Ikaho. I also enjoyed the onsen, the one in the evening and the other in the morning.

Exceptional hospitality and service at this ryokan. Fairly easy to find and access the bus. The meals and breakfasts were perfect and they give you a wide array of food based on your choice. The rooms were of traditional Japanese style and the whole place was clean. The private onsens were spot on and amazing to relax in while looking up at the mountains and easy to access.
