For those who love nature and serene vibes of rural lifestyle, this place is a MUST! We instantly fell in love with it and felt so welcomed by the warm greeting of the host. Ruwan(hopefully I got his name correctly) is such a kind and sweet man who always checked up on us to make sure we were doing well. The room is spacious and spotlessly clean. Sunrise was seen from the bed with beautiful view of mountain and farm. Ruwan aslo took us for a walk around the village which was very interesting and enjoyable. Ruwan showed us many different type of local plants and we shared lots of things about our two countries. We could tell how much he loves and cares about what he’s doing. Great time with him. Another best part is the food there!!! We had dinner at the place and it was just like a buffet. So many dishes!!! They were all truly yummy. Ruwan even took us to the bus stop on his vehicle. Was so kind of him. Thanks so much Ruwan🙏 We did love everything about your place, the hospitality and kindness of you and your family, your kind father. We would always look for a chance to come back someday in future. We can not recommend enough your place to every single traveler if coming to Dambulla!!!

The room was so spacious and the bed was really comfortable! We enjoyed the tent like mosquito net! There was hot water which was also unexpected. The location is good just tucked behind the road so that it's quiet with beautiful views of the countryside. The owners helped us with taxis and also were so kind to let us back into our room after check out to shower as we had just climbed Sigiria rock and afterwards we were traveling to Kandy. The breakfast was also great!

We had a wonderful stay in the Black Mustang. Rooms are spacious and clean, the view from the balcony on the nature is beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet, the hotel is off the main road so no disturbance at night. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, the hosts were really nice and helped us out with arranging transport for our further travels. Would definitely stay here again :)

I definitely recommend this place. The room is spacious and you have a private terrace with a beautiful view of green garden. The bathroom is clean (which is often hard to find). The breakfast is DELICIOUS (include with the price) and the most importantly, the family that manages it is very attentive. You will definitely not regret staying at this place.

Fantastic resort with beautiful outlook and hugely spacious room and balcony with huge swimming pool overlooking the lake. Staff were amazingly helpful particularly the restaurant staff who were next level. It is worth noting for those who don’t like buffet dinners you can order a la carte at main restaurant although we were not aware of this till the last night of our stay. Try the Chinese restaurant- it’s very good too.

Excellent location right by the bus station, still it's remarkably quiet. Friendly staff. Big and spotless clean room and bathroom. My room was on the 2nd floor and I had a balcony overlooking the jungly tree tops. Birds singing and monkeys occasionally jumping around. There is an outdoor garden sitting area, a semi outdoor all day restaurant and even a bar. The WiFi was exceptionally good for Sri Lanka. (WiFi in the rooms only). What more do you need? - and Dampulla is definitely worth stopping over to see.
