I valued the serenity and the views the most! The views are stunning. This place is such a gem. The room was spacious and well fit out, the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the walk down to the small village, the untouched by tourists tea plantations and the encounters with the locals. The drive to the accommodation may be viewed as 'bumpy' by some, but for me it was part of the adventure. I loved everything about this place!

Had an incredible stay at Ella Trail Luxury Villa up in the hillside with beautiful luscious views and a cool overview of the train track which you can walk down to get to Ella town. Askana and Suranga we’re wonderful hosts and couldn’t be more accommodating for us helping us to arrange transportation and always there ready for whatever we needed. I would definitely stay here again even though it is a little further out but the views are unreal and the Property is beautiful with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the scenery..

Wow! This was such a special place to have found. It really gets you into the mountains, with a beautiful 100m walk up into the summit of a gorgeous viewpoint. (Sunrise and Sunset). The privacy was unmatched and was perfect for a couple to enjoy the beauty. The cabin is very good quality and extremely cozy for those Ella nights. Lakshan, is one of the kindest hosts you could possibly ask for! He arranged a bike for us, amazing rain gear, and also offered tuktuk rides whenever we needed them. Breakfast was wonderful and delicious every morning (whatever time you request). We stayed for 4 days but wish it could have been longer. For sure coming back! With Love, Alba and Justin

Tea Hills Ella is a fabulous mountain retreat with absolutely amazing views. It’s peaceful and away from the hustle of Ella town, yet just a short (and free!) tuk-tuk ride away whenever you want to head in. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and incredibly helpful—arranging transportation for us to nearby tea factories and making everything easy. Breakfast each morning was delicious and thoughtfully served on our private patio.

From our three week stay in Sri Lanka this was 100% the best for the value. Our room was really spacious and we loooved the terrace. Definitely the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. I’m already missing the pancakes 😅 it’s really close to railway so you’re in the city just in 10 minutes and it’s also easy to get to Ella Rock from there. Definitely we will stay again

This was our favourite accommodation in Sri Lanka. The view from the balcony in our room and the terrace for breakfast was absolutely breathtaking. You could also walk to Ella town centre by a lovely walk via the train tracks and also walk to Ella Rock from the accommodation. The host and his family were so lovely, always happy to help and the breakfasts were delicious. So many different types of fruit and amazing pancakes/hoppers. We really recommend Blooming Rose Ella to all.

The house is located just above the railway tracks so it’s fun to see the train go past (don’t worry it doesn’t pass at night) the views are amazing and it is very peaceful. The host family are very helpful and welcoming. Great location for trekking up Ella rock and it’s about a 20min walk to Ella town along the tracks. Room is comfortable and spacious and the balcony is great. Lots of wildlife to see right outside your room including monkeys, peacocks, birds, squirrels, lizards and so on. Breakfast is fresh each morning with lots of fruit.

Don’t miss it if you want an immersive nature staying, terrace view amazing and room had a big comfortable bed, with all the facilities. They upgraded my room i was so lucky, ask for the upper rooms especially for more nights staying. Family owners and staff are very caring and friendly, they helped me arranging daily tour and also gave a take away breakfast (super yummy and appreciated) for my early leaving in the morning. They also spontaneously came for picking me up at night along the way. Feeling safe and comfortable like at home

The accomodation fulfilled the description and our expectations. We had family room, it's relatively small but still you can fit there your lugagge, bathroom is big enough. Our room had separate terrace. All rooms are in the farmhouse directly looking at surrounding fields and hills. Breakfast and dinner were delicious prepared by the owner's wife. You stay in the middle of green with Srilankan fauna and flora :-) Owner's are willing to explain things and provide useful info.

Beautiful room with a large balcony which had amazing views. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast brought to our room in the morning. Almost at the top of a big hill which was easy to walk down and a 400rupee tuktuk ride back. Loved it!

The family room at the top of the guesthouse is very spacious, with a large private terrace with the most amazing view, and a spacious bathroom with a good shower. The room has a private entrance and a back door giving onto the shortcut to town along the train track. A delicious, varied and generous breakfast is brought up to your private terrace every morning. There is birdsong all around and the sunrises are beautiful. A special place!

Brilliant location close to the restaurants and bars of Ella but up the hill so it was still quiet. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed eating it on the terrace looking out at the view. We stayed in Room 3 which was very spacious but if you want a view of Ella Rock from your room ask for Room 1 or 2. Our host, Poona, was very helpful and we appreciated the laundry service and the packed breakfast when we left on the early train.

We loved our stay! We extended for two more nights. The family that was hosting us was so kind and lovely. Best breakfast I have had on the entire trip. Clean, spacious bedroom and bathroom with a nice little terrace. Just a short walk to the Main Street. Would definitely recommend staying here!
