Hospitality here was truly next level, with the manager and staff going above and beyond for us throughout our stay. When our early morning train was delayed, they took us to the station at 4:30am, waited with us, brought us back to the hotel, offered coffee and a small breakfast free of charge and then drove us back again, staying until we were safely on the train. The massages were incredible and clearly done by skilled therapists. Room and bathroom were modest but very clean and spacious and the terrace overlooking the lake was peaceful and tranquil. Overall, genuinely kind and lovely people who made our stay in this really relaxing lakeside setting exceptional.

The property was very clean and comfortable. The owners made the stay even better. Such a lovely family and great food they made for us.

The hotel had a calm and welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. The room was comfortable and clean, the pool area was enjoyable, and the staff were attentive and courteous throughout my stay. The natural surroundings added to the overall experience and made the property feel peaceful and unique.

The food was so delicious and the view was amazing. We got the whole villa for our selves and the service was personalized. The owner of the property took care of everything as we needed and requested. Staff were very friendly and supportive. They arranged a bbq night, a village safari and a jeep safari to see elephants as we requested in addition to the stay. The staff and the people who conducted the safaris were also very friendly and arranged everything very quickly and carefully. Also they arranged Ayurvedic treatments as we requested additionally. The treatment was very relaxing and was a unique experience with a serene environment. Big shoutout for the delicious food which was arranged as per our requests specifically made Sri Lankan style. We had one of our best gateways to a Sri Lankan village style staycation with good facilities, great food, breathtaking views, adventures and new experiences. Thank you Ama Villa for your hospitality and support. Highly recommend the place for any type of staycation i.e., family, group, friends or couples. Waiting to visit sometimes again.

Madu (the owner) was a sweetheart! So nice and smiling all the time! She tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. (sorry if I've spelled the name wrongly) The location of the property is off the main road, so this could be a problem for someone who doesn't have a car. It's not a big distance but at night it's really dark so it could be uncomfortable. The room was very big and clean. Breakfast was a surprise every day as our host made sure we had something new to try. It was delicious, though, so no complaints either.

We loved our stay at Wild View. As soon as we arrived at the station, we were greeted with a smile and taken straight to the accommodation where dinner was waiting for us. The food was incredible, so fresh and tasty and very generous portions. The room was basic but had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable and clean. The garden was so peaceful and relaxing with so many amazing plants and lots of wildlife - wild view stay really lives up to its name. On top of everything, our host was incredibly friendly and arranged transport for us to do a sunrise visit to Pidurangala Rock and back and the most incredible elephant safari. Such great value, would definitely recommend!

Super friendly owner, clear communication upfront. Nice breakfast available, with monkeys around. Hammock and terrace in front of the room. Safari was arranged for us and was very lovely and well organized. Great location to go see elephants in the surrounding parks and to visit Sigiriya lion rock. Would stay again.

Everything. Very nice and helpful person, clean and big rooms, well equiped (just 1 room does not have AC, but with the roof fan it was OK). Nice terraces viewing the trees with a lake behind. Could serve us 4 a nice khottu for dinner, and all that for a very cheap price

The breakfast is very good. The room is very clean. The owners are very nice.

The owners, Leo and Wanda, couldn’t do enough to help our stay go smoothly. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

Fernando is amazing and will go out of his way to help you with anything you need. All other staff members were nice and helpfu tool. The lobby of hotel is beautiful and tranquil, a perfect place to have a meal (btw breakfast was great) or just relax.

Super friendly staff. Very accommodating and very clearly wanted to ensure you had a good stay. The dinner and breakfasts were very nice and the room was comfortable.

Secluded location inside the "jungle". Owners (Madhu & Ronald) are very nice and helpful. Ronald organized tours in the area (Sigiriya), and dropped us at the railway station on the last day, I sprained my ankle and Madhu provided free aryuvedic massage, which helped a lot.

The room was so big and clean. The location is good, walking distance to the bus stop going to Polonnaruwa and Trincomalee. It is also close to restaurants, shops etc. Alex Mathews is a very nice host. Very friendly and helpful, and shared a lot of things about Sri Lanka. He prepared really good breakfast.

The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, creating a very relaxing atmosphere away from busy areas. The restaurant was excellent and we really enjoyed most of the dishes — the food was fresh and flavorful. Overall, the place feels very calm and perfect for unwinding.
