Rooms in Pinnawala

I love this place, not just because of the elephants, but because of its beauty and the people. Especially Andrew and Shalika, who were, and are, extremely kind, attentive, and helpful. I will return whenever I can and I highly recommend it.

I don't know why this hotel doesn't have more stars. The staff was very friendly,the price was good,the location and the view amazing. The elephants are bathing twice a day. You need at least two nights here. The food at the restaurant also good.

They are just the best! The hosts are super professional and extremely caring and hospitable! It felt like being with my family, whatever you need they take good care of their guests; if you need guidance, recommendation or transportation, just ask and they are here for it. I enjoyed my stay, loved the people their and I will definitely be back. BTW they have other hostels in Sri Lanka, ask about them.

It is a dreamy authentic structure with all the needed amenities. We stayed at the presidential suite and it was more than wonderful. Huge bed quality sheets and large living room area.

Excellent place, spacious rooms, with a lot of vegetation. Anushka is very kind, as is his family. He is a very good guide, he knows a lot about his country and its tourist attractions. If you have any questions, I recommend that you ask anything, he will help you. It was an incredible day in their cottage and the typical Sri Lanka breakfast was amazing 🤩🤩 I will back , I’m sure 🫶🏻☺️

This hotel is truly one of the best places to stay. The location is perfect and very convenient for everything around the city. The staff are extremely kind, polite, and always ready to help. They made the stay very comfortable and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

Everything was just lovely! The cottage, the pool, the food, the location just next to the elephant orphanage, such nice and helpfull members of staff!! Thank you so much!

The staff greeted us at our tuk tuk and took care of our bags. Our room was nice and clean. There's a mini bar, for a fee, and a store right below. It's directly across the street from the elephant orphanage. In the morning, around 10:00, you can watch a herd of elephant cross the street. Quite a site

I had a very comfortable stay at Suwani Pinnawala Homestay…. the room was clean, spacious, and well-furnished, with a spotless bathroom…. the hosts were exceptionally kind, especially the lady of the house, who went out of her way to prepare special vegetarian meals for me…. breakfast was excellent, and the homestay is conveniently close to the elephant bathing grounds. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay with Ravi and his family. The room was comfortable with a lovely balcony. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! We also had a delicious dinner and breakfast. It was a great place to be with our kids as they played games with the kids at the house. On our way out, we stopped in Gampola to visit Ravi’s spice garden, which was a real treat. We highly recommend!

The cabanas were very comfortable.

I am fully satisfied with my stay at this wonderful location! It truly felt like a 'home away from home' due to the incredible hospitality. One of my favorite parts of the stay was waking up to the peaceful sound of birds singing in the morning—it made the atmosphere feel so calm and natural. The breakfast was delicious and authentic, and the evening tea was a perfect, thoughtful touch after a day of exploring. The environment is clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The hosts treated me like family, and that genuine care made all the difference. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Pinnawala!
