There was a complimentary breakfast, with fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, toast: everything I need.
Nice terrace area on the 2nd floor and pool on the ground floor.
Hotel is quite well maintained and in the center of the town.
There's a private parking right underneath the hotel.
Driving there from the hotel entrance is extremely complicated: they send someone with you. Then back to the hotel, plenty of stairs to climb.

GermanyIncredible bespoke architecture with a breathtaking view. The room was even bigger and brighter than described - we were so relaxed immediately on arriving. Easily a highlight of six weeks travelling across Mexico. The host was super attentive and has such a passion for the project, which is slowly growing. He was glad to give a tour of the beautiful property and left us the rest of our time to just relax and enjoy the peace and quietude of the place. Wish we’d stayed more than one night!

Very friendly and accommodating staff who were always available. We were even welcomed with a local drink. Comfortable beds. Great location just a 5 minute walk from the plaza. Lots of information for tours in the area. Great shower. Very unique and beautiful rooms. Good AC. Decent free breakfast with the option to upgrade. Beautiful building and courtyard area.

Great location, quiet and lush surroundings. Close enough to walk to the Edward James Sculpture Gardens. Continental breakfast of fruit, toast, and coffee/tea. Short drive to town. We had no problem with the Great Dane as he (Donaldo) was friendly as soon as we met him. Shower was hot with good pressure. We were able to park our car right outside our room. Beds were comfortable and room was nice and cool even during the hottest part of the day.

Honest enough, this hotel is a quite "basic" location concerning the room and bathroom facilities. Please do not expect a "Hilton" like room/bathroom. But as you do not pay a "Hilton" price neither, I think it is more than fair !
The owner EVA is the PERFECT host, as friendly and helpful as any human ever can be, she is just wonderful and the soul of Xilitla - we were amazed by you hospitality, and will come back in 3 month with you again - THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, what a wonderful stay we had !!!!!!!

Great location in walking distance of the gardens. About 10 minutes drive to town.
Parking onsite and restaurant was good for breakfast with good service.
The room had a great view and nice balcony.

Great place to stay while in Xilitla. The location is great right off the main street. The building itself has a fascinating history as the place where Edward James stayed (and the family that owns it are related to Plutarch, Edward James' close friend). Pool is wonderful, AC is great, and rooms are comfortable.
