Rooms in Calitzdorp

Everything was excellent: our room, the staff, the condition of the property, and the breakfast. We’d stay there again if we visit Calitzdorp.

A lovely room, pleasant hostess and host and great food.

Loved the setting, the dam for swimming and the facilities. Great hiking and fabulous flora.

The room was very clean as well as bedding. Very nicely set out facilities in one space.

Exceptional value for money for well appointed and spacious rooms.

Nice and clean and private, just need more wood to braai only small and thin chopped 10 pieces. As to buy more but nothing. Shops was close.

Wonderful cottage overnight stay for our family of 4. We enjoyed grilling dinner on the Weber and soaked in a relaxing meal at the outside dining area. The kitchen is well stocked and made it easy for us to prepare breakfast. The friendly host is next door if needed however the place is very well setup and cared for so we did not need any assistance. Would happily stay again on our next time through the area. Excellent value.

The cottage is attractively-built and decorated with personality and care. The fine art, interesting crockery, soft furnishings and books are nice touches and we enjoyed the sounds of the stream at night and the views of masses of stars. The dirt-road drive there from Calitzdorp is also very scenic, with twists and turns and great views of the dam.

The place was more than we have expected and the hospitality and kindness of Kevin and Colleen was excellent I would definite recommend this place for anybody a must stay

I felt extremely lucky to be able to stay there. The property was meticulously cared for and curated as per a world class decorator, focusing on the era and location of the property.

Cottage was off the road and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and we had everything we needed. All essentials where well met. We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable and really value for money.

Very nice owners. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They went above and beyond. Definitely recommend them. And the cottage was much more beautiful than the pictures shows..

Cosy little lodge with superb views. Great features in the lodge, such as the braai, hot tub and fireplace. Nice little quirky and funky decor features added to make this a unique and memorable stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful and delivered us a bag of ice to save us a drive into the nearest town. The drive leading to/from the accommodation was stunning, with fun windy roads.

The idyllic location, absolute silence (except the beautiful bird songs), exceptional hosts (Celia, Christine, Jerry & Peter), eye for detail and the little loving touches, ............ I can go on and on. I advise you to experience this incredible place yourself :-) and see what I mean. We will most certainly be back.

Authentic Karoo! There is so much attention to detail, it takes you back in time. Quiet and peaceful!

The views are exquisite...although it was a work trip..I got a moment to breath and take in the beauty of nature
