CanadaThe place is new, well-maintained, and in a great location and the host was incredibly helpful. We loved watching the birds from the pool, the freshly prepared breakfast every morning, and that there are only 4 rooms. We were able to park right outside the compound on the quiet side alley and it was walking distance to the national park and restaurants.

Our room is spacious, nice, clean and equiped with all we need, such as a single sofa, heater, towels, etc. The furniture is pretty new, we love the night stands which are like at home. The brakfast is good, better than what I expected. The check-in staff is nice and provided a lot information to us.

Everything was fine except that only 1 bedroom had a bathroom in the suite.The other bedrooms were either across the hall or down the hall.The kitchen was somewhat small and there was no vent hood on the stove and no dishwasher.

The apartment is very comfortable & spacious, 2 fabulous ensuite bathrooms, and balcony for watching the surfers and sunsets. The onsite pool is a fair size with plenty of seating and security guard to let you back in from the beach. One bedroom has an enormous comfortable bed. Great to have washing machine and dryer. Jaco is great for surfers but not swimming, the town is lively not full on party, that sid we visited in July, definitely not favourite place in CR, but the apartment allowed us to chill in comfort for a few days.

Lesley is a fantastic host, he is so friendly and accommodating, he gave us great advice on tours and within minutes booked everything we wanted to do. His garden is a wonderful place to birdwatch and he even produced his binoculars for us to get a closer view.
Our room was beautiful with its own roof top balcony, you could ask for no more!

We got an upgraded room which was excellent for the price we paid, it had a fridge/freezer and microwave which was great to have and was well decorated. Nice view over the jungle from the balcony and the general feel of the hotel was nicer than the photos suggest. AC worked well. 30 min walk to the closest beach (though down a very steep hill!) and a 1 min walk to a well-stocked supermarket and the bus running regularly between Quepos and the national park.

Breakfast was outstanding! Best of any hotel I stayed at in CR. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. Bathroom was very nice, good shower and great toiletries. Little kitchen area and terrace with table, chairs, and hammock was wonderful. Hotel grounds are stunning and the pools are great.

Breakfast was delicious. We loved having a living room to hang out in on our rainy night, as well as two bedrooms. Close to the beach. Loved the screened poarch with table and chairs.

The staff were lovely and actually gave us a room upgrade where we had plenty of space and a balcony. Decent kitchen to cook simple meals (oil, salt and salsa were provided). Air conditioning and fans were good. The staff gave us good restaurant reccomendations too. The hotel is also a 2 min walk away from a supermarket which is open late

Fantastic views! Wonderful stay, spacious room with balcony. Delicious food with great views. We enjoyed breakfast made to order (with a buffet option available). Dinner was delightful (although wine is expensive!). Long Happy Hour at the different bars! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to beach. Hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Highly recommend staying here.

The property was very beautiful and clean. The views were stunning! Housekeeper and grounds keep came everyday which was nice. The layout… 3 bedrooms on one side of the house (one with private bath and two hallway twin rooms that share a bath) and the master with its own bath on the opposite side of the house was perfect for our large family!

Amazing property- exactly like the pictures. House is on two floors with two bedrooms and three bathrooms. 3 Air conditioning functioning well. Big windows, jungle feel , impressive terrace. Clara our concierge was amazing she was helping all along the way with restaurants and activities recommendations and helped us book a taxi and private transport to go back to Liberia airport.

Had a great night's stay after getting a free upgrade on my room. The receptionist was awesome and let me check in early which improved my day exploring Montezuma. Would recommend. It is fun listening to the howler monkeys.

Marala hotel was amazing. We got an upgrade of our room and ended up in a really nice family room with seaview. The facilities were amazing. Very nice decoration, huge comfortable bed, big shower.
Really nice and welcoming service. Food and cocktails were great.
Would definetely recommend this hotel to anyone!

The family room is great, has a cool raised king size bed upstairs with a view of the trees. Big shower.
Also stayed in a budget room with shared bathroom which was clean. Breakfast was basic but good it was included.
Easy to use buses to get to Quepos/Manuel Antonio. Lots of chill out places with hammocks and chairs.
