United KingdomArrived in the evening so didn’t have a meal but the breakfast was great. Nice friendly pub was good to relax with a drink after a long journey.
Bit of a task to find the village through narrow lanes at times but was worth it. Would stay here again no hesitation. Room smallish but not an issue. Slept as well as i ever do when away in a strange bed. Lovely and quiet.

The fact that it's only metres away from an equally welcoming pub serving excellent food is an added bonus ! Great for the dogs with a small back yard which is totally secure. United StatesWe went to Alton Towers and this is the closest hotel to that other than the resort hotel, that’s why we chose it. Little did we know, we were in for a treat! It’s feels old and the Talbot next door is an amazing topping for the cake.

The rooms are immaculately clean & decorated to a high standard with toiletries in the bathroom. Complimentary of tea, coffee & biscuits. Nice touch having a small fridge & hairdryer in the room.. In the main hallway, a small kitchen for guests to use, microwave, toaster, plates & cutlery, also iron, etc.
Well stocked corner shop across the road & Sainsbury's or Morrison's down the road a few minutes drive away.

The property is in excellent condition and decorated to a high standard. All of the bedrooms were spacious as were the attached bathrooms.
The hosts Nola and Richard were exceptional in their welcome providing a range of thoughtful complimentary items. They were also very responsive to queries raised.

Lovely modern rooms that are accessible. Spacious bathroom with both bath & shower. Great selection of coffees / teas in the room.
On the second night we got locked out of our room around 1am (I think the key card was set up for only 1 night). Luckily, there was an out of hours number that we called and a really helpful staff member came out within 2 minutes to let us in and provided us with a new card, can’t fault the response, brilliant to have that out of hours number as saved a potential disaster!

This property is perfect for a family stay, clean, well stocked, cosy but spacious. It is tucked away in a nice quiet location, with a lovely balcony and some gardens to walk around. The host was fantastic, very friendly and easy to communicate with. During our stay she went above and beyond to help us with a couple of requests. Also have to mention the lovely jacuzzi bath and thoughtful hamper of goodies on arrival, thank you!

Historic stage coach post with plenty of atmosphere. Excellent supper and breakfast. Spacious bedroom and comfortable bed. Good selection of beers and friendly and efficient staff.

Peter was an excellent host, made room on the drive for us to park up on. The bedroom was beautifully clean as well as the ensuite bathroom. We had our own living room as well. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and there were good selections of hot and cold food. Great location to be able to walk into town and not that long of a drive to Alton Towers. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend

Cooked Breakfast was very good and our room was very spacious. Also, the staff were very efficient and friendly. We had dinner two evenings in the restaurant and both meals were very good.

The location is fantastic. Right on the edge of the city centre. A short walk away from so many pubs, restaurants and sights. As well as a grocery store right in the building.

A very comfortable and clean hotel, just 10/15 minutes from the cathedral and the city centre and with its own parking. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room (a premier double) was spacious and bright with a large bay window. The breakfast was good with a vegetarian option, served in a comfortable dining room. The hotel has no lunchtime or evening catering, but there are many food pubs and restaurants in the city centre. It does, though, have a well stocked bar open until midnight.

This was a great location for visiting Cannock Chase. The apartment had everything we needed and more. It was very well kept and felt quite spacious and with two separate bedrooms, it worked well for our group. We had great communication from Stan who was a very welcoming and helpful host. Great to have good offstreet parking available.

Spacious, lovely family room with everything we needed. Pleasant and accomodating staff. Key code system was easy to use and meant we could come back to the room at any time. Never heard any noise from the pub or other guests.
