The host was very welcoming and knew enough English to orient us well. The room was big and bright and the fold out mattresses were very comfortable. Everything was clean and tastefully decorated. The hot spring bath was just great. The breakfast was wonderful. You can walk everywhere. Oh, and the balcony overlooking the rushing river, and listening to the sound of the water was so peaceful and relaxing.

Omakase style dinner and breakfast was amazing, beautiful scenery from our room window!

The ryokan was really beautiful with very friendly and accomodating staff despite the language barrier. We often communicated via google translate. Our suite was lovely and we really enjoyed our private open-air onsen. The food was also topnotch! Would like to come back again!

The hotel is beautiful. Separate little houses/apartments set in a Japanese garden, private onsen bath, the room was large and so comfortable. The dinner was so good, and they could accommodate me on the spot when they served a soup i couldn’t eat. The staff were absolutely amazing! And we booked the ikebana introduction, which was a great experience!

The room is spacious, well designed, comfortable, and the private onsen that comes with the room is an absolute bonus. The hotel is located away from the touristic areas, in a highly exclusive hill top with ample greenery. We visited during the cherry blossom season and the scenery is one of the best in the region.

My second time staying here, this time with family rather than friends. They loved every minute of the onsen experiences and breakfast. If it’s your first time staying here, breakfast is a must even if it’s at least once. I’m excited to come back next time!

Everything was wonderful. Gorgeous room with a lovely onsen and wonderful food. The staff were so kind and helpful and the place is one of a kind. I absolutely recommend, particularly if you are a foodie, love unique boutique experiences and enjoy a private onsen.

Food was above and beyond my expectations. Quaint, out-of-the-way place that provided privacy and peace. Hospitality and attentiveness of the staff was exquisite.

The property was beautiful and rustic.

I love how the staff are kind and provide us with our request for the food. They even lent us the bath for just for us for entirely one hour.

Clean, considerable resources provided, nice restaurant and friendly staff. The garden, hot spring and room itself are excellent and beautiful.
