We stayed on one of the premium floors, so could use the 8th floor lounge from 2:00 (before checkin). Drinks and snacks were good and free, the view fabulous. Breakfast and dinner were excellent (Viking style).

The overall ryokan vibe was nice and cozy with tatami mats and shoji screens in the room. Was also convenient to check in with the keys left out on the front desk. Never saw anyone else during my stay during check-in or check-out. The room was also adequately cooled with AC and the bed itself was quite comfortable.

Chikurakan offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within a 10-minute walk of Takabe Shrine and 7.4 miles of Cape Nojima.
