The location provided a wonderful view of the town and landscape. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful.

The silence, the calm, the location, the room, the atmosphere. It was beautiful and it was worth every penny. I would have stayed a week.

I highly recommend this accommodation. It's absolutely stunning, our only regret was not staying longer than a night, you really want a minimum of 2 to make the most of it. We will definitely be coming back one day 😊

Everything was exceptional, but the owner's kindness took a special spot. There's not a single thing I would change. I just wish I could repay them for the wonderful night we spent in Miyajima.

Loved the dinner it came with. Loved the location, we had sea view. it’s a well managed hotel.

We stayed in the deluxe room with a private onsen (spa bath). The setup of the room was fantastic with a small shower before the onsen to quickly hop in and out of the bath throughout the day. The location is a 5 minute walk from the water which means it's nice and quiet away from the bars. It's also a short walk to the Itsukushima Jinja. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both were fantastic all you can eat buffets and with our room we had a special hot plate of abalone and vegetables cooked at our table which was delicious. The onsen was already being filled by the time we got to our room and operated without issue while we were there. Room had plenty of amenities and the drinks in the mini bar were all complimentary. There are plenty of good places to eat near by and a convince store within the hotel. I'm unsure why this place has as low of a rating as it does. It was a fantastic stay and I wished we stayed longer.

Location was excellent. The View from my room was marvelous. The room was specious for a solo traveler. Really recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. We stayed in new building , very comfortable. Comfortable bed, spacious room. Great equipment for hair. We have our own Onsen it was excellent !

Everything, perfect stay, area, experience

Loved the view from my room, overlooking Hiroshima bay. The private onsens were a real treat. I just wish I had booked a western style room instead of Japanese style. Modern furnishing and spacious bathroom were fantastic. Only thing I’d do differently is order à la carte, the set menu was underwhelming. Beautiful staff and fantastic location

Enjoyed being immersed in the whole Japanese experience, the room with futons, evening meal and breakfast . To be on the island after dark is very special

It was a highlight of my trip! The staff were so kind and attentive and even drove me from and to the bus station. The food was great and their gift shop was full of lovely items.

Staying at Sekitei was such a stunning, relaxing, indulgent experience. My husband and I travel very often, and always try to stay somewhere unique and special (whether it’s a 5-star hotel, or a low-key hostel), and this really exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt like special guests, gently and kindly taken care of at every turn. Our room felt like a home unto itself, a combination of classic Japanese and midcentury modern styling, decorated with unique treasures and books. The private onsen, a walk through the garden before sake tasting in the lounge overlooking the koi pond, a beautiful dinner served in our room, waking up to the view over the bay — every single thing was careful and charming. We’ll treasure our time at Sekitei forever.

Clean as advertised with great meals.

Big house in the suburbs of Hiroshima. It was lovely and clean and really spacious. It had enough room for 6 people comfortably. The facilities were clean and once we got the hang of the oven it was great ot cook there. Used it as base for 3 days to go further away.
