Self-Catering Accommodations in Kŭrdzhali

I stayed for a week in Kardzhali in June 2024. This hostel is conveniently located at the center of Karzhali, near the park. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; one gentleman at the front desk spoke excellent English and another lady spoke some English but was so kind and friendly that communication was never a problem. The common areas are very nice to sit and relax; I didn't use the kitchen much except to use the kettle to make tea. There are also drinks available for purchase in the hostel. I booked a room to myself; it had two twin beds and a bathroom which was spotlessly clean. The wifi is good, not great. Parking is available on the street for pay or in a lot just across the road although it was full when I was there. Tip: if you go into one of the bodegas/convenience stores nearby and ask them to pay for parking, they will enter your license plate number and pay the parking fee of 6 leva per day (in June 2024) and then when the meter maids check, they have your payment in the system according to the license plate. You can also do laundry at the hostel for 5 leva, ask at the front desk. Overall I highly recommend this as an excellent value and great place to stay in Kardzhali.

Very nice place, quiet with a beautiful lake view! It was very clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything. We stayed 2 days I wish we stayed longer.

The house was contemporary, large, high quality furnished and very clean. It has also very good river view, and the beds were so comfortable.

We loved it. Not in the centre, but very close to it (read: free parking, but you can walk to the centre). Excellent facilities, very hospitable owners. A functional kitchen.
