Self-Catering Accommodations in Rio Celeste

The property was well maintained and very beautiful. The rooms very clean and comfortable. They only serve breakfast and as it is a little far from restaurants. A small supermarket is close by. Our cabin had an outdoor kitchen so we were able to make some dinner there. In the morning we could hear the hauler monkeys from our big patio. All in all it was a great stay.

We spent some incredible days. The place is all nature. The view of the forest is beautiful, with lots of birds during the day, and at night we heard some nocturnal bird calls, although we didn't hear them, but the sound was astonishing. Fresh and healthy food is produced on the farm and in the garden. The river is very clean and crystal-clear, and the trails are beautiful. Here you can rest and sleep soundly. We were able to ride horses, even though it rained a little, which was lovely. The horses are noble and healthy. I'll be back soon to see the tree we planted. The entire farm will soon be a forest; they have a good forest regeneration program.

We traveled as a family of three with our adult daughter. The only hitch was finding the place. Ask the host to send you a photo of the driveway from the street. We had a hard time finding the property. We loved the open air Cabana, the property, the privacy and the dipping pool. Of all the places we stayed in Costa Rica this was our favorite! We left Rio Celeste for our last night before flying out and we were sad to not spend more time there.

The cabin was perfect and in beautiful gardens, so many hummingbirds! The photos do not do it justice! Delicious breakfast. Iliana was very helpful. She walked us down to the river, pointing out the resident Sloth. She even got into the river to show us how deep it was before our children got in. A stunning location for a cooling swim.

Beautifully designed, built and furnished. Clean, nice large deck, private and quiet. Comfortable beds and functional kitchen A wonderful place to hang-out with friends and family! The property's caretaker were very helpful and responsive.

If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing nature escape, this is the perfect place. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by lush gardens full of fruit trees, plants, and flowers — absolutely beautiful. The apartment was large, very clean, and smelled fresh. The beds were soft, and having a full kitchen was a big plus since there aren’t many restaurants nearby. Karol, the owner, greeted us warmly upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the apartment. She even shared a cacao fruit with us to try, a thoughtful personal touch. This property is ideal for travelers looking for a tranquil getaway away from the busy tourist spots in Costa Rica. It’s close to Tenorio Volcano National Park and the Rio Celeste River, making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who want to explore nature and unwind in a peaceful setting.

The property was perfect, clean, comfortable, great location, beautiful gardens and our host Carol was amazing. I highly recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Rio Celeste.
