What an adventure! We had never stayed at a property quite like it and were excited to explore the River Shannon... but the rain and wind had other ideas so we didn't do the paddle we planned. The power went out in the neighbourhood but the boat was unaffected. When the power was restored, we walked around (many shops closed when the power went out so we didn't get to shop), but we found a welcoming pub and lots of restaurants that were open and had room. We chose Dead Centre Brewery. The pizza was terrific! It was really handy having the Raddison nearby for breakfast, parking, and toilets :-) The host asked us how we did during the storm and other than a few rough winds rocking us to sleep, we stayed dry and cozy. The host gave us access early which was great too.

It was spacious, and the grounds are wonderful. Has everything needed. Great with kids, as they had their own rooms, and lots of room outside. Great space for board games. We loved the location. Communication with host was also good.

Private, secluded. Daughters and I took a beautiful walk down a country one in the evening and looked at the horses, sheep and cows. Cottage is spotless and well accommodated if you want to cook.
